Quick fix [Hung Fook Tong]

I was a bit hungry so got the Chicken leg with abalone sauce and beef shaomai from Hung Fook Tong.

The chicken was really disappointing because it smelt like overnight chicken and the chicken wasn't that fresh as well.

The beef shaomai was dry and tasted mainly of flour.

Coffee slice from Arome bakery

Was given this cake by someone and it was quite a weird cake because it was layers of flakey pastry and coffee flavoured cake in between.

It was a strange contrast of moist cake and dry flakey layers with a strong coffee taste and localized salty and sweet buttercream!

Deceiving food at food republic

Made the mistake of ordering food from here because it looked good but the taste was awful.
The lotus roots and pork which looked like it was in delicious gravy was horrible because the gravy was just sweet.

The pork patty was just minced fat.

MUJI Bakery at the Hopewell centre

Checked out Muji Bakery but forgot to check out Muji Cafe so I have to go again sometime.
Went there because of the Water light graffiti that was held right outside the Hopewell Centre and you get to paint for free!!

Anyway, the prices at the bakery are relatively affordable but the prices at the cafe are rather expensive because the portions are small according to my experience at the Lee Theatre branch.

Ended up getting two scones for $20, a plain one and a green tea one which are both garnished with a chunk of chocolate on top.

Both had a buttery taste with a crumbly texture but the green tea one was tastier because of the green tea flavouring.
They also had nuts in them so they should be labelled that they contain nuts for people with nut allergies.

Urban icecream waffill [Waffills]

Went here again because I wanted to try the Urban icecream waffill.

The place was packed.
Started off with the Waffle with hazelnuts and icecream because I really miss their traditional waffle which was light and crispy.

Then I had the new Urban icecream waffill.

It was filled with delicious icecream, caramel bits and banana, the taste was really similar to one of the milkshakes that they serve.
The waffle wrap was firm and had a nice chew to it which held the waffle and icecream together.

Luxurious ice lollies [ISEE iSEE Handcrafted Icy Desserts]

Icelollies and softserves are not a necessity but when they are really delicious they become a necessity to me.
They started becoming a necessity when Lola's icepops came around because they tasted natrual but unfortunately they do not have fixed shops.

It just so happens that ISEE ISEE and Icelicious have just opened serving these handcrafted icelollies so I had to try both.
ISEE ISEE is more expensive but they also served icy desserts like Icelicious.
It is nice how the menu is made up of huge wooden lollisticks.

When I got there, the flavour I wanted to try was sold out so I had to get the Cheesy Raspberry which is served in a cup!

The icelolly tasted quite milky but the cheesy taste was not that heavy and the raspberry part is the bit in the middle so you can't really taste it until you get to that part.

To be honest, I think the Earl Grey is probably one of the best flavours but it was sold out.

I will probably come again when they have another flavour that attracts me.

Chapman To was here???

Free pineapple cakes [SunnyHills]

I discovered this place after dining at Cafe D'i.
Initially I thought it was a SunnyHills cafe because I saw people having tea there and eating pineapple cakes.

While I was taking photos of the front, a lady came out and asked me to go in and try the pineapple cake so I went in and sat down.
Within a flash, she bought me a tray which had a pineapple cake, tea and some leaflets about the pineapple cake.

The pineapple cake had a lovely buttery pastry filled with sweetened pineapple chunks in the middle and the size of these cakes are quite satisfying without making you too full.

When I left, I was given another box for free because it is for females hence I am showing my appreciation by sharing this experience.
