Japanese soup dumplings at Yoshinoya

I was surprised to see dumplings on the menu other than beef so tried them a la carte which costs $14.

There is a choice of miso soup or plain soup.

Japanese dumplings in miso soup:

The dumplings looked the same as the product shot but the dumpling skin was too thick and it had a strong chive taste.

While I was waiting, I saw these weird 3D cardboard DIY thing.
Perhaps they were binoculars??

New peach tart and pizza chicken at KFC

I have always been curious what the pizza chicken was like so I ordered it and they had a new egg tart so I tried that as well.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Napoli crispy pizza chicken:

Basically it was just a piece of fried chicken topped with melted mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce.
The taste was ok but it didn't remind me of pizza and the mozzarella cheese was tasteless so it was just flavoured by the tomato sauce.

Yellow peach egg tart:
The egg tart looked ok but the bottom half was really oily. Great for your health, NOT!

The egg tart tasted quite nice with a smooth apricot filling which tasted like jam.

If it hadn't been so greasy then it would have been perfect.

Preserved liver sausages at 吉吉魚蛋 in Lam Tin

Discovered this shop because the shop was bright yellow.
At first I was not going to bother and have a look because I don't really eat fishballs but had a look anyway and saw that they had other stuff as well as fish balls.

The preserved sausages caught my eye and it was really cool that I could order one on its own because normally you have to go to a roast shop or a stir fried glutinous rice specialist for it.

They just looked delicious because the preserved liver sausage had a dark even burgundy colour which means there is not much fat.

I was a bit shocked because it was sooooooooooooooo delicious and it only cost me $8 with velvety liver inside but it was a bit too sweet, but then it would be sweet because I had it on its own.
I regretted not trying the other sausage but they were sold out when I went back.

Pomme verte series : Das Gute

The photos I took doesn't show but when you see the cakes they look too good to eat.

There is a large one and a tart version that has a white layer of meringue on top.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Pomme verte tart:
The tart was a bit deformed when I got home!

I was a bit disappointed because it was too sweet and there was lemongrass flavouring which I don't like.
It was not even tart in taste because pomme verte means Granny Smith apples in French which are crisp tart apples.
However it was nice there were chunks of apple in it.

Eeny, meeny, miny, moe at Hui Lau Shan

HLS have launched these cute buckets of fruit slushes in four flavours:
Pineapple, longnan berry, strawberry and cucumber.

Previously tried the cucumber which was too sweet so went for the Pineapple because Mjqueen7e said the coconut noodles were good.
The promotional leaflets at this store were better and they had a pop up menu.

You can get these $10 coupons for the slush buckets so they only cost around $23 but I didn't know about them and didn't see them giving it out.

After tearing the coupons away you can make this flick flack game [there are other names for this eg cootie catcher] to decide which flavour.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Pineapple slush:

At this branch, they give you a square plate instead of the rectangular plate.
The pineapple slush was refreshing because it was blended with fresh chunks of pineapple but it was slightly too sweet.
Beneath the slush were coconut noodles which was delicious with the slush and the sweetness eating these two together were just right.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Cucumber slush:

Tried the cucumber slush again and the slush was too sweet and the sweetness was consistent with the first time I tried it.

A bucket of cucumber slush at Hui Lau Shan

HLS have launched these cute buckets of fruit slushes in four flavours:
Pineapple, longnan berry, strawberry and cucumber.

I went for the cucumber because cucumber is supposedly refreshing.

It appears that they have ran out of the buckets because too many people have ordered it so I was given a disposable cup.
It was garnished with fresh melon.
The cucumber slush was way too sweet and the sago and marshmallow didn't make it taste better.

Beneath the slush was delicious aloe jelly which saved the dessert!!

Ribena and LabMade crossover

Tried two new flavours at Lab Made which are made with Ribena.
These flavours are available until the 5th August.
++++++++++++++++++
Peanut Butter & Ribena Jelly Ice-cream:

There was extra cream on mine because I requested for more.
The pairing of peanut butter and Ribena was surprisingly delicious because the saltiness of the peanut butter and the berry taste of Ribena was really nice.
++++++++++++++++++
Diced & Iced Apple Ribena Sorbet:

This was more refreshing and girls will love this because it has lots of diced apples in it.
