Giants eggs at Sushi Take Out?

From time to time there will be some interesting items at Sushi Take Out.
This time there was this Japanese dessert which seems to read Giant egg in Chinese.

As well as the dessert I got the sushi which I didn't like because the sauce drizzled on top was sweet so it ruined it.

The dessert thing looked like mochi that was shaped in a jelly mold dusted in dessicated coconut.

Inside there was red bean mousse which was too sweet and the mochi was nice but it didn't really have any special taste.

Supersupergirl loves cats at Cat tune

I love cats and this place is conveniently located in North Point and there are a good variety of cats.
They charge by the hour and the you get to choose a drink from the list.
I chose the iced pineapple red tea which tasted natrual and not too sweet.
There was a lid screwed on top which makes it hygienic in a cafe with cats but I am not sure if this applies to other drinks on the list such as milkshakes.

The place is really good but I found it a bit uncomfortable sitting on the cushions because they don't really have any chairs.
It was nice of them to give me a thin blanket because I had a short skirt on.Cat Tune

An odd afternoon in an odd place with odd food at Prime Deli

I would describe the feeling as oddity at this Chinese chachaanteng because it is located in a middle of market serving odd dishes!
It was weird because they had the croque madame and this Chinese style ginger pork trotters French toast.

T7 and T10
++++++++++++++++
croque madame:

The toast was a bit too thick and it was Chinese bread with grilled cheese but there was not enough cheese and the egg was RAW.

I tried to tell them the egg was raw, but they didn’t get it and said it was meant to be raw but I don’t think the EGG WHITE is meant to be raw if you look at croque madames at other French restaurants.
++++++++++++++++
Chinese style ginger pork trotters:

This was surprisingly good because it was not the typical Chinese toast dipped in egg but it was rolled like a burrito filled with thin slices of shabu shabu beef drizzled with Chinese style ginger pork trotters sauce.
The funny thing is that this does not contain any pork trotters!!
It tasted good because the sauce was just like sweet and sour sauce with a hint of ginger and the rolls were crispy filled with beef.

VS Cafe in Sai Kung

Thanks to famous blogger SeaBlue for telling me the latest restaurant openings in SK.
I was lucky they were still open around 8 which is late in SK hours.

They had cakes and coffee.

Sadly they didn't have tea so I ordered a latte.

I am not a fan of coffee so it's hard to comment but it had a strong milky taste and it was really nice of the barrister to adjust the coffee to make it taste light.

Early Christmas pancakes at Saffron Bakery Cafe

I have always wanted to try this place but there are other good places to try.

Anyway stopped by and had Chai latte and Gingerbread pancakes.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Gingerbread pancakes:

Tried this because the description was quite nice, Christmas in a pancake, lightly spiced pancake served with apple compote.
I was a bit disappointed because the pancakes were dry and not fluffy.
As for the taste, it was mainly bitter with a strong flour taste and the ginger taste was really faint.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Chai latte:

The chai latte faired better because the use of Monins syrup and it had a fragrant cinnamon taste.

Chuckling chicken burger by Hong Kong's McDonalds

Tried the new Chuckling chicken n bacon burger by McDonalds.

Basically there is a piece of crispy chicken, cheese, lettuce with mayonnaise in the burger.

The chicken was nice and crispy with a strong herb taste but I didn't like the bacon because it was not crispy.
It would be delicious if they used the crispy one from the #creatyourtaste burger.

Dining at Satay King

Went here because I havent been here for a while.

Had the tofu pot again and tried two other items.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Japanese crab roe and tofu pot:

This was delicious and there was a generous amount of crab roe and the texture was like starchy salted egg yolk which balanced with the light taste of tofu.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Salt and pepper squid:

The squid was a bit dry and salty.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Fried chicken gristle:

Basically chicken soft bone coated in batter if you like that stuff.
