Lucullus Gourmet Shop's Treasure box of moon fest chocolates 2015

I love the new mooncake revolution that breaks the traditional, first they launched snowy mooncakes then the custard filled ones, now they have chocolate mooncakes as well as icecream mooncakes.
The Lucullus mooncake series range from traditional to just chocolates.
I got the Classic Treasure chocolate mooncake gift box which has 14 pieces of chocolate in it with a big chocolate in the middle that represents the mooncake.

The chocolates are great for sharing.

Contents in the box:

[Clockwise from the top left: Dark four brother, Milk pistachio coffee, red autmn leaf corn truffle, milk hazelnut crunch, Lychee truffle mini mooncake, Lotus flower truffle, Milk truffle, star hazelnut praline, dark truffle, Milk almond Lucullus, Green tea truffle, sesame truffle mini mooncake ]
The chocolate mooncake:
Ginger x Milk chocolate : Cranpucchino
The chocolates were enjoyable, especially the green tea truffle, Milk pistachio coffee and the dark truffle.

Tikitiki Bowling Bar

Found out from social media about this place so decided to check it out because it is located on the top floor of Star Plaza.
The setting is different from your typical bowling alleys because it is dimly lit with music pumping and wide TV screen above the pins.

I didn't bowl that night because I went for the food.

Sat by the bar and had the platter of lamb kebabs and chicken reshmi tikka with tomato chili jam.
Interestingly, it came with fried pita bread!

The lamb was really tasty with lots of aromatic spices while the chicken was tender and juicy even though it was white meat.
I couldn't quite see the tomato chili jam so perhaps it was marinated into the meat.

To bowl there, it costs $410 per person including two drinks and bowling shoes are available.

Not related to the above but the security guard of this building is a bit weird!

Om ॐ OM Sweet Home

Discovered this place after visiting the new bowling place.

Noticed it was a vegetarian joint so went.

The menu had snacks and drinks but it didn't have a price so I asked how much and she said feel free to donate which I did.

They also sell vegetarian items as well and they are trying to convey the message Love the environment, love life and be a vegetarian.

I liked the cookies which were not too sweet and because they were vegetarian, they did not have that weird buttery taste.

The wheat rolls tasted like pork scratchings.

For drinks I had the pineapple and peach tea which had a nice tart aftertaste.

Also tried some other snacks which were nice and crispy.
They were impressive because they were cooked by an airfryer so no oil was used!

There is a bottle of lucky stars and each one has a message.

Incredibly cheap but too sweet at Milk Food

Went to Dragon centre because I wanted to get some Metallic flash tattoos so stopped by to get some icecream.

They said you could try the drinks but there was too many people in the shop so I just got two icecreams and chose the Jasmine drink.

To be honest, I didn't look at the price and I hadn't a clue how much it would be but the two icecreams and a drink came to $15 which is shockingly cheap!
Anyway, both icecreams were not cold enough and the texture and taste was basically the same as whipped cream and they were too sweet.

Jasmine, momordica and brown sugar drink:

I could taste the momordica but frankly it was too sweet to be healthy!
Nice bottle and design though.

Chinese lasagne at M18

Went here randomly and had the lasagne set for $6X.
It came with lobster soup and a drink.
The lobster soup was ok but a bit sweet. there was supposed to be a slice of baguette which didn't arrive until the lasagne arrived.

As for the lasagne, the tomato sauce was tangy and nice but the cheap beef and the tasteless stringy cheese on top ruined it .

滷店 the Lo Shui Specialist!

Discovered this place while I was in the area.

At first I thought it was some traditional Chinese shop selling herbal medicine but it turned out to be a shop that sells all kinds of marinated foods from pigeon, goose, offal, eggs, tofu, pigs ears to abalone.

I tried the abalone which I thought was served cold but they warmed it for me by putting it in the hot marinade sauce.

I was worried it was going to be chewy after being heated but it was surprisingly tender with a nice taste that was not too salty or loaded with msg.
