[Restaurant Review] Castella Fish & Chips / Castella Fish Bar

A while ago I visited Castella for chips.
The guys there were really friendly and I like the way their chips are cut in house.
There are not many fish and chip shops in the area so this is one to visit but I think it depends when you go because I like my chips freshly done so they are blonde but anyway I still recommend this place.

Recently they had a makeover and I love that red telephone booth entrance.
As well as the decor the new fish and chip boxes are stylish.
I didn't see that guy from the previous visit but the younger guy is still there.

As well as fish and chips, they will be serving a good range of seafood soon.
I had chips as usual and sampled their delicious fish and fried chicken tenders.
Their home made tartare sauce is a must try because it is creamy and tart which make the chips moresh.
Will be revisiting soon in a few weeks because there is more decor coming as it is not completely finished yet.

[New at McDonalds] Cheesy Sauce Crispy Thighs 芝士醬麥炸雞

Super Late in the game is Hong Kong McDonald's fried chicken with a Korean Twist.
Korean Fried Chicken started trending in HK in 2014 but McD never had fried chicken on the menu permanently until last year.
Now that they do, they are offering Korean inspired Fried Chicken with cheese sauce 芝士醬麥炸雞 along with Shake Shake Fries with Kimchi Seasoning.

Sticky BBQ Lamb Ribs from Chicken World Peri Peri

 This shop is called Chicken world so obviously they specialize in Chicken!

I went against the grain and got the lamb ribs!

To be honest, I curiously went in there and thought it was the usual fried chicken shop but the menu made me look twice with the lamb ribs which are normally pork!

I tried to order them but they didn't have it, so the next day I went in and they didn't have again.

So after asking, I found out that they only serve the lamb ribs on the weekends.

Went back again during the weekend and ordered 4 ribs and chips.

The ribs take some time but they were worth it.

 I liked the way, the chips and ribs were separated so the chips do not get sticky.

The chips were not the star of the show but it was a big portion and I was impressed they were freshly fried and did not give the chips which were sitting there.

As expected the lamb ribs were meaty and delicious! They were not gamey.

The ribs were coated in light flour which was crispy and the bbq sauce was amazing which made these ribs fantastic.

It was smoky and not too sweet with a nice tang and the ribs were meaty with a slight chew.

Overall, I am so glad I tried.

Also tried the BBQ wings which were a bit too sweet for my liking while it was quite spicy.

Langham Place

Visited Langham Place Shopping mall a while ago.

It has changed quite a lot over the ten years.

What stays the same is the super long escalators which are quite scary going up and down them.

The annoying structure of the mall makes it difficult to leave if you were on the top floor because you either have to take those escalators or go round down the spiral ascending staircase to each floor.
