Fantastic chicken box deal at the Market M&S Food Ariel Way

The build a box is such a good deal for 7.

B.J's Pie & Mash

With all pie mash, it is your bog standard pie, mash with liquor!
What captivated me here was their chip which goes against the grain and I found it interesting like English style liquor poutine!
Sadly, they ran out of chips that day so I have to go back again!

Chinese bakery Ong Ong Buns debuts in Shoreditch

Ong Ong Buns a pop up until Feb 2022 debuts in Shoreditch.
It is located right opposite PRET.
Inside, you are greeted with a lovely indoor garden.
On the wall, there is this beautiful Asian tea set.
Unknown to me it was used for a wedding ceremony because the guy told me.
I love the way, all their bakery is displayed in these bamboo steamers under heat lamps.
There is a lovely choice like pineapple buns, cocktail buns, curry puffs, sausage buns.
Some are halal which is thoughtful of them.
Overall, worth visiting and my favourites are definitely anything pandan!

Cheapest rainbow cake at Premier Bakes

Discovered Premier Bakes while I was eating my way around Chrisp Street market.
Premier bakes specializes in eggless cakes which are old school style as well as modern rainbow cakes.
The rainbow slices are 1.80 while the school style cakes are only 1.60.
Seeing the rainbow cake was only 1.80, how could I refuse.
All the slices have this unfortunate splodge of cream on the sides which is not aesthetically pleasing but it was there to adhere the plastic film and keep it moist.
Overall, it was worth trying because the texture was soft and moist just like your regular egg cake but I found it too sweet.
Rating: 3/5

On another recent visit, I had the red velvet cake which was nice but it was a bit too sweet for my liking.

Bagel mania at Bagel Bites, Ealing Broadway

Spotted this place for bagels!
I love all the choices they have like tandoori chicken bagel, jerk chicken baguette etc.
They even have breakfast as well at affordable prices.

Bronek's Fish Restaurant

This fish restaurant caught my eye because of the Japanese and Chinese.
I can imagine it is popular with Asians because they love their seafood.

Jerk Fried Rice from Cummin Up Caribbean Take Away, New Cross Gate

On my visits to New Cross Gate, my eyes were captivated by their 30p tea, coffee, hot chocolate advertised on their window.
Cummin Up is located right next to New Cross Gate station and next to it is another Carribean joint which is really pricey.
Finally went one night when the queue for Afterhours was slow moving.
Again, on their window was a special offer for Jerk fried rice for 2.50 which I was planning to have from Afterhours!
Here it only cost me 2.50 with some gravy and jerk sauce.
The jerk fried rice was really tasty with lots of peas and shredded chicken, the only thing that could be improved was the saltiness as it was way too salty.
I suspect that they have a lot of jerk chicken left over hence use it to make jerk fried rice.
