Bagel Eats at Langdon Park

On my way to Langdon Park DLR I discovered this eatery so went in and had a look.
Bagel Eats opened in March 2021 serving you fresh bagels with a wonderful choice of fillings.
As well as bagels, they have a great choice for drinks and I totally feel for the Pacha drinks in a clear can on a hot summers day.

New BBQ Quarter pounder with Cheese at McDonalds

It was a visit to McDonalds because of the new Bbq quarter pounder with cheese.
You can either get the regular or double quarter pounder.
After comparing the two I got the regular quarter pounder because of the cheese ratio.
You get two slices of cheese with the double quarter as well as the single Quarter pounder which is rather strange.
I would have expected four slices or at least three slices of cheese with the double quarter pounder.
Overall I really liked it because it was the same as the McRib but with a beef patty instead.
The diameter of the quarter pounder was bigger than the bun which was good.
Basically it is tasty if you like mcds bbq sauce and chunky chopped onions.
However I prefer the onions finely chopped for an even distribution.
To summarize, I liked the burger but the only complaint was that it was not hot enough to melt the cheese and the temperature really affects the taste.

Tea at Camden Coffee House

Camden Coffee house started off in Camden hence the name and there are now three branches.
You will find a branch on the 1st floor of the Whitgift centre by the escalators which is easily spotted.
I was catching up with a friend so went there in the afternoon.
The tea menu was quite impressive as they had black, green and herbal teas.
Earl Grey is usually my pick but the Jasmine & Pomegranate green tea had to be tried because I have not seen this anywhere else.
Strangely it tasted like rooibos with a hint of Jasmine while the pomegranate didn't quite come through.
My friend had a decaf and the Tuna flat bread which was garnished with some crisps.

What to eat at Chrisp Street Market

Chrisp Street Market has been here all these years and I have just discovered it and totally fallen in love with this place.
Sadly, they could be regenerating the area soon which might mean the current stalls will be gone forever.
So far I have visited a few and all of them have been top notch and I hope to visit the rest in a timely fashion.
First off I had to try the true pie mash in the East End so I went to Eastenders pie mash and Maureen's.
Both were good but Eastender's serves pudding while Maureen's serves salted beef bagel as well.
Another must is pease pudding and sausage roll at Ivy's which is something you will not find anywhere else but possibly up North.
You simply cannot go without fish and chips and Captains Table has proper fish and chips as well as quality fried chicken.
Their large cod is so big that it can feed a few people!
Last but not least is some Chinese and Indian food at affordable prices at the Curry Hut and Wings Cafe.
As for sweet treats, the eggless cakes at Premier Bakes were good as they have instaworthy rainbow slices.

Will be trying the rest soon

Pie Mash at Golden Hill

Pie Mash places are going extinct so I am trying to try as many pie mash shops as I can.
Discovered Golden Pie in Clapham Junction which was convenient in a way because I change trains there hence an excuse to try it out.
The decor of Golden Pie was similar to Electric Rooms in Norwood.
As I wasn't that hungry, I just had the pie and liquor which cost 3.50.
Before adding the white pepper and vinegar, I tried the liquor first and to my surprise it was salty compared to other pie mash places I have tried.
The pie casing itself was a bit soft like it hadn't risen and there and I could taste some pork lard which had gone a bit funny.
Overall, I had to try it anyway for my records.

Fish & Chips in Shoreditch

I am not sure if Shoreditch Fish and Chips is new but I don't seem to remember seeing this joint a few years ago.
Inside, I love the decor with the London Street signs and red phone booth on the wall.
The menu has most your chippie items but they did not have cod roe but then I believe it is going out of fashion these days as people want to eat healthier.
Anyway, I settled for a fishcake with chips because I wasn't that hungry.
The fishcake tasted like it was made by themselves because the chunks of fish were quite coarse and it was seasoned with herbs like oregano that you don't normally find in fishcakes.
Perhaps it was too good for my liking as I was looking for more of an old school style fishcake which is floppy and has less coating.
Apart from that the chips were fried to perfection as they were blonde which is how chips should be in a chippy.
Also tried a bit of my friends haddock and the batter was beautifully light and crispy while the fish inside was good.
Overall, I satisfied my chips craving.
