LinLan tea at Teaknows 茶以知人 - Bloomsbury

Someone got me some really nice LinLan Tea from this place.
I would not have visited myself because it was a bit intimidating.
The LinLan tea I had was to my liking because at 30% sugar and less ice it was really thirst quenching and aromatic.
It was topped with a nice cream tower with some stuff on it.
Since it was really nice, I decided to pop in the shop and have a look and ask them what the stuff was on top but all I got was just Cream Tower even though I tried to ask what the pieces were.
Luckily on deliveroo there is more information, so I found out they were nuts and not red beans which takes the tea to another level.
Also tried the sweet melon tea which was nice but I didn't appreciate the milk in it because milk does not work with these green teas.
When I asked about this other tea, she poured a sample to let me SMELL only, whereas other places would just let you try it.
However, the guy was much nicer and let me sample the melon tea without milk which was nice as expected.

Sour Cherry soda at Darlish

Ice Cream is obviously what Darlish specializes in but I went against the grain and had a drink.
As fan of Cherry, I didn't hesitate to get the SOUR cherry soda at Darlish.
Priced at £5, I was quite upset when I saw it being made that I didn't even want it because I was expecting it to be made with soda water or the sparkling Evian cans in the fridge and not Sprite.
To make it even worse it was Sprite Zero which has these awful sweeteners.
Overall, I didn't like the drink because of the sweetness which defeats the purpose of being a sour cherry drink.
On top of that I didn't like the overpowering taste of sprite which they should have renamed the drink Sprite and sour cherry.
If I wanted to drink Sprite, I would get it myself not for a fiver.
I know Darlish specializes in ice cream but I thought the Sour Cherry soda was unique which was why I got it.

Visiting the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle lair pop-up in Waterloo

It was really fun going to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle lair pop-up in Waterloo which was just like the movie set in the sewers because Leake Street is just like that.
The best part was the sewer entrance and there were slushies to drink.
In the evenings, there were pizzas too but I wasn't there.

Stuffed Yorkshire/Yorkie platter at Toby Carvery's

I have always wanted to try this at Toby's Carvery but most of the items can be found at the carvery except the camembert.
Finally tried it and it looked so much nicer than the product shot.
Each yorkie was uniform in shape and size which is so different to the ones at the carvery.
However they forgot the Camembert on the pigs in blankets.
The cheese with pesto I believe was cheddar and not camembert.
Other than that it was quite satisfying because of the variety.

Yorkshire wraps and stuffed Yorkshires/Yorkies at Toby Carvery

Whoever invented the Yorkshire wrap is a genius.
My first Yorkshire wrap was from the stall in Camden.
Now you can get them from Tobys Carvery for 5.49 which is a steal but the branch I visited need some improvement.
There were so many choices so I decided to try 3 over a few lunches.
The prawn cocktail was a bit out of the norm but had to be tried as you didn't have to pay extra for it.
The other two I had was cheese and red onion chutney and the roast turkey club.
Overall, the wraps were nice but it needed help on presentation because they seemed to have used the wrong side of the wrap.
The cheese chutney was too sweet because they were too generous with the chutney.
The turkey club was my favourite because I love stuffing, ham and mayo.
Last but not least, the King prawn turned out to be shrimps but in a good way because King Prawns would be too bouncy.
The amount of shrimps were generous and the sauce was just right and not too sweet or acidic.
Not your usual roast and wrap ingredients but look at all that shrimp.

Mushroom burger and Winger Winger Chicken at Patty & Bun

Went to Patty & Bun as it was one of the restaurants not tried on that stretch.
Tried the Winger Winger Chicken Dinner & Portobello ‘Dig it’ Mushroom Burger where the burger was similar to Shake shack but I loved the tarragon sauce in it which you can really taste.
The chicken wing confit was just chicken wings covered in buffalo sauce.
The wings were a bit stiff and not on the moist side to drip with chicken juice but I believe they are a side product as burgers are the main star of the show.

Chicken tenders at Slims chicken

I have always wanted to try Slims chicken because it is Southern food.
Overall, it is quite impressive because the menu does not deviate much from the US.
The only items not available here are the fried okra and mushrooms whereas UK as gravy mayo and they don't.
It is interesting, they serve toast but I wish they had grilled cheese as well.
Anyway, tried the chicken tenders which were good visually from the coating as it was even as well as the colour after it had been fried.
The chicken was soft and moist and went well with the blue cheese dip that I chose.
Also had the toast because I didn't understand why Americans would have toast on the menu.
The toast is very different in the sense that it is sweet and a bit like garlic bread with herbs.
The mac and cheese was quite cheesy and creamy.
Also tried the gravy mayo exclusive to UK which was had a twang to it like salad cream and it was not as savoury as I had hoped.
