Why is it called mousse when it is not mousse!

Crumbs (Jordan)

Walked past and noticed this Premium green tea mousse with green tea mochi so decided to try it.

At this branch you can dine there so the menu offers more variety than the other branches other which only offer froyo and scones.

I have tried their scones and froyo which were quite nice but not addictive enough to make me come back.

This branch only did takeaways according to the photos on Openrice.

Water is self service.

Premium green tea mousse:When I ordered it I was quite suspicious whether it was really mousse but the Chinese and English stated it was mousse so that was why I got it.

However when it arrived I was quite disappointed because it was not mousse, it was evidently a pudding so why call it mousse.

Luckily the dessert was ok and not too sweet and the mochi was nice.

Frankly portion size varies with different people

Shop: The Frank (Admiralty)

Went to get froyo again at The Frank because they serve froyo from yo mama as well.

Had the hazelnut first and felt like having more so got the green tea froyo.

Hazelnut froyo with ginger mochi:

My first cup of froyo was good because it was my favourite hazelnut flavour, it was thick and creamy with strong hazelnut taste.
The mochi was good as well, it was soft and chewy with a hint of ginger.
The ginger mochi is slightly brown in colour.
The above was served by the female staff.

Green tea froyo with plain mochi:

After the lovely froyo I decided to get another cup but this time I chose Green Tea.
It was served by the guy and he gave me so much more froyo than the stingy girl.
Anyway, the green tea did not taste as nice as the hazelnut because the milky flavour tasted a bit off.
The mochi on the other hand was good.

Hazelnut and chocolate froyo @ Yo Mama

Yo Mama (灣仔)

Since my last visit, there are now six branches of Yo Mama in Hong Kong with Wan Chai being their first branch.

I have not had a froyo for a long time because I have been bored of the flavours especially at Yo Mama because they only had original and green tea.

This time they had hazelnut and chocolate froyo which was the reason I why I came.

The toppings were unchanged and the variety was the roughly the same as before with fruit, cereal, sweets etc.

The decor of this froyo joint was the same as my first visit and the sitting area lighting was really dark.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Froyo:
I chose the green tea mochi and realised there was a jar of meringues as well so I got the meringues.
The hazelnut chocolate froyo was really nice because it was really thick and viscous and the taste of chocolate was not powdery.
The meringes were cute and colourful and not too sweet, whilst the green tea mochi was deliciously soft and chewy.

Hello Kitty x Yoppi froyo joint @ East pointy city

When their first branch opened in MK I really wanted to go but it was really hard trying to get a froyo from there because there were so many people and it was so noisy making it hard to order.

Then they opened their next store in Central which was really accessible but when you get to Central there is so much choice that I end up going elsewhere.

I wonder how long this shop will stay open because Yogo Frozen Yogurt which was nearby has closed down.

The difference at this branch is that it is decorated with Hello Kitty and the spoons are Hello Kitty too!
The spoon comes in pink or blue.
I usually collect the spoons if they are nice.
The froyo cup also had Hello Kitty on it.

Green tea:
Quite nice but it was quite icy.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Raspberry tart:
This was my favourite the raspberry flavouring was quite natural.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Vanilla:
As well as the raspberry the vanilla tasted quite nice too, the vanilla taste was quite strong.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Signature tart:
I was quite disappointed with this one because it wasnt tarty enough.

Matcha froyo drink @ Yogurt Town

This place has been here for ages but there are so many froyo joints around that if the flavours are not different then it gets boring.
I liked the idea of froyo and jelly which was cheap as well at $10 but I was too lazy to ask what flavour the jelly was.
In the end I saw the matcha drink for $16 which was also extremely cheap if you compare it to Sweet house cha cha at $46, there was another drinks shop nearby and the green tea slush cost $26.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Matcha froyo drink:
It was interesting because the green tea drink was not pre-made, it was made to order as the staff got some Matcha powder, icecubes and milk and blended it.
However I was not quick enough to get a clear picture of the brand they used but the packaging looked quite decent.
When I got the drink I did not mix it imediately but drank the drink to see what the green tea tastes like.
The green tea was so strong that there was a slight twinge of sourness and it was also very milky.
It was similar to the one at Sweet House Cha Cha where it tastes nice after mixing it.
In comparision with Sweet house, the tea here was had more depth because the froyo was slightly tart with a slight yakult flavouring and the Sweet house one was plainly sweet with strong vanilla tones.
