On my last visit to Causeway Bay I was choosing between two places to have icecream and I made the wrong decision not to have Dolci because the other one was disappointing.
Anyway, came back on a scorching day for my favourite Pistachio gelato and got two delicious toppings with it.
I chose my favourite mini macarons again and cake bits.
The gelato itself is really nice and does not need these toppings but the mini macarons are just irresistable!!!!!
The gelato was smooth and thick with a gorgeous sticky texture to it just like Turkish icecream with no weird aftertaste.
The pistachio taste was natrual and the sweetness was just right.
I will be back for more gelato at the Central branch because there are 14 flavours there including the new pear flavour!!!

5mm pork chop from Ada 精美小食
Came here because the omelette looked good so I chose that and the pork chop as well.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Omelette and pork chop rice:The Chef obviously has really good skills because this was the THINNEST SLICED PORK CHOP I have ever seen!!
As you can see, it is about the same thickness as the chopstick which is around 5mm.
The omelette tasted nice but it was soaked in oil and it had lots of vegetables in it such as beanshoots, frozen carrots and peas.

Vegetable dumplings at Central's Wang Fu
Previously had great dumplings at their new Sai Ying Pun branch so decided to go to the Central branch for the vegetable dumplings again and try the yellow bean pudding.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
vegetable dumplings:
Sadly, the vegetable dumplings were not as nice as the ones at Sai ying pun because the vegetables inside were not that fresh and lacked taste.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
yellow bean pudding:
The texture of this was interesting, it was all starchy and decomposed in your mouth like thick starchy paste.
It would have tasted nicer if it wasn't so sweet.

Quick stop for food at 米飯班煮
米飯班煮 (荃灣)
This was the last stop for food in Tsuen Wan.
While I was walking past I was attracted by the crispy bun with cheese and tuna which was similar to a pizza except that it had a crispy bun base.
There are two flavours: salted beef and cheese or cheese, tomato and tuna, or you can have both!!!
The salted beef is expected to be good because it reminds me of corned beef.
Talking of corned beef, they had FISH and CHIPS on the menu too.
I loved this crispy bun because it was good served in a different way other than pork chop or condensed milk.
The bun had a lovely crisp crust with a soft centre topped with delicious tuna, cheese and tomato.
I would have loved more cheese though.

Oyster burger
Burgeroom has been around for ages offering an extensive choice of burgers.
With the recent opening of The Chop House offering Soft Shell crab sandwiches I suddenly remembered thatBurgeroom had it as well.
It was my first visit at Burgeroom because I used to think it was expensive but after comparing the menu to The Chop House, Burgeroom was cheaper and had more choices which was won even though I probably would not choose those burgers.
For the soft shell crab, The Chop house was cheaper because you get three and the coating is lighter. However the one at Burgeroom was coated in batter and I was glad I did not choose it when I saw it served.
Burgeroom's Soft Shell Crab Burger $95 vs SOFT SHELL CRAB CLUB SANDWICHES (3) $138.
At Burgeroom, the choice of seafood burgers were great and some of them had foie gras in them too:
Boston lobster $188
Foie Gras Soft Shell Crab Burger $168
Portobello Sole Fish Burger 98
Foie Gras Sole Fish Burger 148
When you dine at the Burgeroom, you have to order from the counter which was quite annoying as their burgers are quite pricey.
However they do bring the food over to you.
If you order drinks, you have to get it from the cabinet.
The plastic knives and forks were well hidden.
The burgers were served in a basket which made it difficult to eat and their tables were cramped and close to other tables.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Oyster cheese burger:
If you didn't eat pork or you were a Muslim, then you would not be impressed to find a piece of stray bacon in it like I did.
There were four oysters coated in crispy breadcrumbs in the burger.
The bun was rather burnt!!
With the burger sliced in half, it was perfect having an oyster with each quadrant.
The processed cheese went well with the oysters because it was not too overwhelming with a lightly salted cheese taste.
I was really glad I chose this over the Soft Shell crab burger because this could be the only place in Hong Kong that serves oyster burgers.

Garden in the city
This place used to be the old Wan Chai Market which is now OVOHOME.
I have not been to the old market before so I don't know what it looks like.
At OVOHOME, it is like a garden inside a building with lots of green plants.
The only thing I did not like was the strong Lemongrass smell!~
At the entrance, there are some steps that lead to a display of eggs and those iconic lights with red metal lamp shades used in Hong Kong indoor markets.
The dining area is nicely laid out with wooden bench tables.
There were some nostalgic items too.
The cafe serves vegetarian food only.
A card saying Meat or no meat?.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Brussel sprouts and apple in sesame sauce:
I was quite annoyed with this because they should have called it salad with apples and Brussels sprouts instead because there were two only two Brussels sprouts on the plate sliced in half and same with the apple slices.
The Brussels sprouts were oxidised and they were not soft enough.
The salad was ok drenched in sesame sauce but not the salad I was hoping for.
I should have ordered a sandwich instead.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
I also went to their toilet and it seemed haunted because I was no where near the hand dryer and it went on itself and it just feels horrible and BLOODY FREEZING COLD!!!

Korean Kelly comes to Wan Chai
There are now four Korean joints in Wan Chai, and this one appealed to me the second most because of the rice rolls.
There were three sets or you can just get the rolls on their own.
I got the tuna to takeaway.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
KIMBAP Vegetarian:
While I was waiting, she gave me a Vegetarian one to try which was refreshing and moist because it was packed with vegetables in it.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
KIMBAP Tuna:
The tuna roll was plain and simple.
It had tuna, carrots, cucumber and sesame sprinkled on top.
The taste was ok but it was a bit simple compared to K-Roll.
