Seafood galore at Su Casa

This place is located on the second floor and easily missed.
When I arrived I was greeted with a nice tranquil restaurant with a seafood bar.

Although it was my first time there, I bumped into a friend that always dines there for the oysters.

We had quite a feast that night.

Here was what we had:
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Started with oysters Oysters: Arousa (Spain), Mermaid, White pearl and the Gillardeau from France.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Crabe Tourteau:
To be honest, I just enjoyed the crab roe part and the grey matter which had a rich and strong crab taste with a seawater taste.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Scampi from South Africa:
It was visually stunning to see the whole scampi in its beautiful coral pink shells.
The scampi was sweet and springy that it did not require any seasoning.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
smoked salmon with arugula salad:
Delicious slices of smoked salmon.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
seared US asparagus and bacon rolls:
Big juicy asparagus tips wrapped in smokey bacon strips.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
button mushroom stuffed with chorizo cutlet:
Mushroom lovers delight, crispy coated mushroom stuffed with tasty pieces of chorizo in the middle.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
sauteed clams with basil white wine sauce:
These sauteed fresh clams were sweet with fragrant basil which really brought out the sweetness of the clams.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
sauteed mussels with white wine cream sauce:
I loved these mussels because they were fresh springy ones but I found the sauce too creamy.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Duck Foie Gras Linguini with wild mushrooms:

This was my favourite, I loved the al-dente linguine tossed in the oil from the foie gras.
There were so many pieces of foie gras and earthy mushrooms.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
oyster soup with oyster:
This was my favourite because the soup was extremely rich and it tasted of crab too.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
roasted pork ribs wtih bbq sauce and french fries
Tender ribs with delicious smoky sauce.
Each rib was extremely meaty and soft.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Baked Alaska:
This was the best dessert in terms of presentation and taste because alcohol was poured on top and set alight.
It was light and airy egg white with a strong alcoholic taste with icecream in the middle.

Fine Foods and fine palmiers from 帝苑餅店

Thanks to Yanji for getting me these Palmiers.
They were flakey, buttery and delicious with a nice coating of crunchy sugar on the surface.
As well as the plain one, there was also sesame which had a fragrant taste.

Quick stop for hot food at Pret A Manger

Stopped by for some hot food.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Prawn gumbo:

The prawn gumbo was a bit disappointing because it just tasted of black pepper and was lacking the spices use in gumbo.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Salmon brunch:

The Salmon brunch bun temperature was kept hot and it was impressively not soggy because there was no condensation formed when it was kept in the heated cabinet.
Unfortunately the salmon was too salty and the cheese was tasteless.

Unhygienic at 八方雲集鍋貼水餃專門店

The dumplings taste ok, but the guy cooking them kept wiping his nose with this bare hands while cooking!

It can also be seen that they cook vegetarian dumplings and meat dumplings on the same pan!

Stopped by for some rice rolls at Snack Express

This branch is better than the TKO branch because they have a small table for you to stand there and eat.
The staff there are consistently cocky as the other branches.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Rice rolls:

There was not much soy sauce so asked for some more and it got flooded with sauce.

Luckily the soy sauce was not too salty but it made the ricerolls difficult to eat because the sauce made the ricerolls unravel.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★

Belgian rostis at 炸魚薯條 (西貢)

The weather is cooler which is the perfect time to go to Sai Kung as nobody goes in this cold weather.

This time they had these new Belgian Rostis so I got them.

My favourite was the vegetable one because of the vegetable and potato bits.
The bacon one is also good as well.

To finish off I had a marmite and cheese bap because I love marmite.

Adrenaline rush at Adrenaline

I never would have imagined the experience at Happy Valley racecourse could be so good.
Happy Valley is on the Hong Kong side so it is easy to travel there and it is attended by so many expats.

We went on a wednesday to Adrenaline on a normal racing day which costs HK$350 per person including a buffet dinner and 1 adrenaline signature drink.
As an expat, the buffet was great because they had quite a lot of Tex-mex food such as cajun prawns, Southern fried chicken drumsticks, mac n cheese and chili con carne.

For dessert, my favourite was the British rice pudding with Devonshire cream.
Pictures taken at Adrenaline:
After watching some races at Adrenaline we decided to check out the party and get a closer look at the horses.
The place was buzzing with vibes.
Souvenirs from the races.
