Honeydew melon icelolly at Isee Isee

Since my last visit, there are more flavours.

This time I tried the melon which tasted really natrual and sweet with a prominent honey dew melon taste.
The texture was just right with a nice bite that was not too icy or crumbly.

I didn't order the Earl Grey but they now sprinkle more pistachio nuts which is good.
The average icelolly costs $4x

Spanish Mexican tapas at Bocadito

Previously went here for lunch but the lunch menu should be changed because it does not show case how wonderful the food is.
For lunch they had options like fish and chips, pastas which is not tapas!

If I had not tried the evening, I would not have known how wonderful the food is.

At night, you enter the surrealistic restaurant through Gaudi's big mouth!

The restaurant was dreamy.

The chef is Mexican and was trained in Spain, hence his Mexican touch to the tapas.

Raspberry Daquiri with Chocolate Rim:

Started off with this refreshing raspberry drink that was not too sweet or syrupy.
It was lovely on a hot evening and the chocolate powder rim balances the tartness of the raspberry.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Aceitunas aliƱadas $45

Theses were olives marinated with lemon, garlic and bay leaves.
They were salty and appetizing start to the meal but the lemon was not strong enough.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Tortilla de patatas $75

I loved the Spanish potato omelette because the egg was fluffy and soft with silky potatoes in it.
To be honest, this was too good to share!
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Gambas al ajillo $130

These were prawns sauteed in olive oil with garlic, parsley, chilli and white wine.
Each prawn was really springy and tasty, but perhaps a little too salty.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
TAQUITOS Little Tacos:

These tacos were colourful topped with silky tofu, grilled bell peppers, purple cabbage and guacamole.
Basically tasty and healthy.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Bacalao a la vizcaina con arroz a la mexicana $245

Ordered this because I love carbs and rice!
It was cod and rice smothered in sauce made of capers, olives and raisins with a hint of chili.
For improvements, the cod temperature should be hotter when it is served.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Cheese platter

As well carbs, cheese is a must for me!
On this plate was quince jelly, Fig jam, Goats cheese, Manchego, Gondola and Brie!
Basically, this was heaven but the goats cheese was a bit too strong for me.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Catalan creme:

The Catalan creme was amazing too, it was creamy and thick.

Gimmick only and great for IG likes

Initally I was going to dine here for the sweet purple potato dumplings but it was too hot and I don't like the dumplings made of translucent dumpling skins because it is too greasy.

There were other desserts which were presented in the form a meal such as the ramen, waffle and egg, fried chicken and beer.

Didn't choose the ramen because I don't like chestnut and didn't choose the waffle because I don't like mango.

So in the end I had the fried chicken and beer with some cumin chicken wings.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Chicken wings with cumin:

I wished I had checked the reviews before because they were dry and tasteless as mentioned in the previous review.
The chicken was probably frozen chicken because it was not springy.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Fried chicken with beer:

There were crispy puff slices (fries), jam (ketchup), and fried chicken (made of melted marshmallows with crispies mixed into it coated with cornflakes).
The crispies in the fried chicken weren't that crispy and it was quite sweet with a hint of lemon flavouring.

Chicken bone (biscuit)

The beer which was made of apple jelly was too sweet and tasted like Apple chews and apple flavoured hubba bubba with a sweet meringue top!
It looks exactly the same as the BEER JELLY at Prince bakery which tastes better because it tastes of beer!

Affordable dim sum at Winner Dimsum Workshop

Usually dim sum is eaten during the day but here it is served all day and the prices are very reasonable.

There are traditional choices and modern style dim sums available.
Some dim sums come in twos which makes it easier to share between two people and you can order other dim sums as well.

Here was what we had:
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
steamed prawn dumplings $16:

The prawns inside were springy and the dumpling skin was not too oily.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
steamed rice rolls with pork floss:

The steamed rice rolls with sweet pork floss topping tastes nice but the doughstick in the middle was a little hard.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
steamed pork dumpling with crab roe $14:

Another dim sum classic, huge pork dumplings loaded with silky minced pork and fragrant Chinese mushrooms topped with crab roe.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Pan fried radish cake in XO sauce:

In general, everyone who tried it said the XO sauce was very spicy.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Baked chicken tart $24:

A modern chicken tart which was liked by everyone because it had pieces of creamy chicken on a buttery crisp tart base.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Fruit salad with shrimp $24:

A nice dim sum for summer and kids to eat because the sweet fruit salad is served on a crispy base with a prawn on top.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Pan fried glutinous rice with egg $30:

This was chicken sandwiched in between two layers of glutinous rice coated in egg and pan fried resulting in a crispy and chewy texture with flavourful chicken in the middle.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Dessert platter $32:

Finished with a cute dessert platter of mango pudding, creme brulee, guava pudding and chocolate mousse.
My favourite was the chocolate mousse which had a strong chocolate taste with a velvety texture.

Cali-Mex invades Causeway Bay

Little Burro used to be the only Mexican place in CWB but now there is Cali-Mex.
Spotted it earlier when they had bright boards around it.

Now they are open!

Tried the breakfast which was only served in the mornings before and now it is served ALL DAY! Hoooray!

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
All day breakfast Crispy bacon bowl:

I love their bowls but the breakfast bowl is even better because there are fried eggs.
The runny egg yolk with the guacamole and salsa tastes so amazing and beneath the sauces there is tasty Mexican rice and my favourite refried beans.
I also added extra spinach for $8 but it wasn't really necessary because the bacon was good enough as it was crispy and delicious but it would be great if the whole bacon was crispy.
Unfortunately, one of the new pressed juice flavours was sold out so I got a bottle of coke instead.

Strawberry puff (Pie chow!)

It was so sweet of Monchichitasting to get me this because we were going somewhere and I hadn't had lunch yet.
She gave me a choice of original or strawberry.
Normally I would not choose strawberry because strawberry flavours are always artificial.
Anyway, I decided to choose the strawberry and it turned out delicious!!

The strawberry was natrual and it tastes like a mix of strawberry and yoghurt and the puff was light and crispy.

I was so glad she got me this because I didn't know beard papa puffs taste that good and from their FB, they had some really creative flavours before such as coconut, sweet potato and the chewy white puff.
At Beard papa, the puffs are called PIE CHOW which is quite amusing.
