Localised spanish fried rice @ Pizza Hut

Initially I wasnt going to write this review, the menu bored me.

In the end, out of the boring menu, I ordered the spanish fried fried or so called paella.

It was presented nicely with lots of herbs, it was slightly spicy, and I saw bits of dried shrimps and scallions which was obviously XO sauce.

Anyway, the drinks was also good, the apple and berry fizz and the creamy ribena punch, it is named slightly different in English, which dosnt make sense anyway.

The apple fizz in chinese was meant to be champagne.

The apple fizz was nice and light, and the fresh strawberries were sweet.
The creamy ribena punch was also fizzy and nice and creamy.

Lovely jubbly cheesy 6 pizza! @ Pizzahut

This is an old review that I nearly forgot to write, but anyway here it is.

In Hong Kong, I do not really like the localised pizza, even with pizza at Pizzahut it has been localised.
The lasagne at Hong Kong's pizza hut is weird, it contains mashed potatoes which you wont find in the pizzahut in UK!

The localised pizzas in hong kong are usually topped with tasteless stringy mozarella and cherry tomatoes.

Cheesy 6 stood out, because it had 6 different cheeses with slices of tomato and chives.
In the cheesy 6 series, there were three flavours, cheesy 6, cheesy 6 with sliced tomatoes and olive and cheesy 6 with ham and pineapple.
I was tempted to try the plain cheesy 6 but in the end I chose the one with sliced tomatoes and prawns because with proper cheese, the tomatoes go well with it.

I had this pizza twice and both times they were nice, however this time it was over cooked and the cheese got crispy.
It also depends on the chef and how evenly the chef distributes the toppings too, in this case the prawns were all on the centre of the pizza.

The taste of the pizza was nice and intense, and the tomato balanced it out, the cream cheese was very appropriate with the crust.
I loved the super thin chives, I wish there was more!

It was nice having a strong cheesy pizza made of six cheeses, but it was hard trying to taste each of the cheese apart from the cream cheese.
It would be cool if they gave out those boxes with the sample of the six difference cheeses that were given in their promotion to food reviewers and companies.

Anyway, if they had this pizza again, perhaps they could make it like the four seasons pizza, different cheeses on different slices so each cheese could be tasted.

The six cheeses were montery jack, romano, cheddar, cream cheese, mozarella and parmesan.

Romano is named after Rome, where it has been made for over two thousand years, originally in the region of Latium. It is one of the oldest Italian cheeses.

Food choices for Pizza Hut delivery has improved!

I hardly ever order Pizza for delivery, especially Pizza Hut because the delivery menu is limited.

This time I was surprised at the choice and it was so good that I ordered more than I intended to because the starters, pastas and desserts were sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tempting.

Pizza Duetto $127
I ordered the duetto because you can choose two different pizza's, however one of my choices was the supreme which is not supposed to contain pineapples according to the menu.

Bacon penne with truffle parsley sauce $68
This is a new pasta on the delivery menu, a nice change to spaghetti bolognaise and americana.
The sauce was really nice and strong, and there was chopped up parsley.
I would have liked it if the pasta was softer, but the sauce was nice and cheesy with a strong truffle taste.

Russian salad (shrimp and potato) $32
This was a nice salad that would be a choice for expats because it had mayonnaise dressing and not the weird sweet chinese salad dressings.
The elements in the salad were potatoes, lettuce, purple cabbage, prawns and black olives.

Golden Peach bread pudding $30
When I saw this, I was tempted to order two, and it did turn out to be delicious.
however when you take the lid off, it does not look as good as it tastes and it looks slightly different to your usual bread pudding.
The use of peach was much better than raisins.
The peach and custard sauce in the pudding tasted really nice.

Sicilian meatball and spaghetti pasta @ Pizza Hut

This was not on the delivery menu before so decided to try it.
It costs $62 which qualifies for delivery.

It tasted better than I expected, the sauce for the pasta was rich tomato sauce infused with basil.
It has a tangier taste than the bolognaise sauce.
It also tastes like Heinz tinned spaghetti, but the texture of spaghetti is not as mushy as the tinned one. As for the meatballs I liked them as well, they were soft, and it tasted like the Italian sausage meat use in their supreme pizza.

Tortillas and Fried chicken at Pizzahut

Last year they had the pizza with six different cheeses called cheesy 6 and this year they have come up with the 7-cheese pizza with added Provolone.

Anyway, I was meant to try this pizza, but then I saw other stuff on the menu and ended up trying those.

The items were similar to the ones served at Spaghetti house.
It was interesting that they have created a dish similar to poutine and American fries with the use of different sauces on top.

In the end ordered: Crispy Chicken Strips with French Fries, Prawns Tomato Tortilla, Squid Ink Risotto with Shrimp in Lobster Sauce and Baked Cinnamon Apple Crispy Bread bites with Vanilla Ice-cream.

It reminded me of chicken at Spaghetti house, so I ordered it.
When they arrived, the chips were overdone. The chips and chicken was too salty that it stung and the chips tasted like they were soaked in salted water before they were fried.
Apart from that, it took a long time for the fries and chicken to cool down.

Just wanted to eat something similar to a pizza, and this was basically a tortilla covered with cheese and prawns similar to the 7-cheese one, so I ordered that.
Anyway I liked the way they used the tortilla base because it was extremely thin and crispier than the thin crust one.
The texture was similar to filo pastry at the edges.

Squid Ink Risotto with Shrimp in Lobster Sauce
The lobster sauce was too salty, but overall the dish was delicious, especially the pieces of octopus and the rice.

Baked Cinnamon Apple Crispy Bread bites with Vanila Ice-cream
Although the dessert arrived along with the food, it came at a good timing because I liked the way the dessert had time to cool down and the ice-cream melted, so the crispy bread bites were equally covered in ice-cream.
It would have been nice if the apples could taste more tart.
