Superb SUPPER buffet at JW Marriot Hotel The Lounge Hong Kong

The food at JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong is flawless every time I go and all those awards they got are well deserved.

I have been to the brunch three times, dinner buffet once and twice to the supper buffet.

Currently, it costs $368 per person from 8-11pm Thursday - Saturday.
During the 9th-22nd of May, it will cost around $4xx because they will have some extra seafood dishes like:
typhoon shelter crab, sauteed clams in black bean sauce, spicy whelk in wine, oyster fritters with white pepper and cilantro, cuttlefish cake with salt and spices, scallops and broccoli topped with crab roe sauce, congee in lobster superior broth.

It was definitely worth going twice because all my favourite luxuries were there such as abalone, cheese, sashimi, Peking duck, Hainan chicken with rice, soba noodles.

Dessert section:

Here was the food that I had:

The African chicken was nicely done and spicy like how it should be.

Fresh sashimi and my favourite chilled soba.

Delicious congee from the live cooking station where you can choose your ingredients and put as much as you want.

Peking duck pancake:

Springy prawn dumplings:

At the carvery counter, the vegetable selection was quite impressive because they had baked potato and purple potato.

cheese glorious cheese

They had edam, brie, cheddar but the cheese selection is different everyday.

Last but not least, the abalone was amazing, it has taste and texture unlike other places where they are rubbery and tasteless as the sauce is made from roast meats and Chinese wine.

To finish the dessert was also good but unfortunately I was too full but still ate two pieces of apple crumble because it was just divine.
The apple crumble has just the right level of sweetness, a good balance of apples to pastry and crumble.
First piece:

Second piece with lots of creamy vanilla sauce~!~

I WILL BE BACK SOON~

An unforgettable experience on the Aqua Luna

In the ancient times, there used to be Junk boats which had flexible sails that could be adjusted rapidly with the appearance like a pirate ship.
Every now and then you can see these Junk boats with red red sails on the harbour operated by aqualuna.

There was a day trip to the Tin Hau temple to celebrate Tin Hau Festival on the aqualuna so I decided to go on it because I have always wanted to sail on this lovely junk boat with red sails.

During Tin Hau festival, people will go to Tin Hau Temple to celebrate the birthday of the sea goddess who protects seafarers such as fisherman and sailors.

I boarded the aqualuna in Central.

It was really exciting because it felt like paradise, I was greeted with a relaxing lounge and great music.

As soon as I sat down, I was offered a blanket because it can get quite windy and they gave them to other guests as well which was really thoughtful of them.

Drinks were served promptly and the crew were really cheerful and helpful.

The boat ride was surprisingly steady and we sailed pass some lovely scenery.

After a while, we arrived at Joss Hill Bay where you could see lots of celebrations going on with lion dances, people making wishes and giving offerings.

The biggest Joss sticks I have ever seen!!

They had wind chime stalls and these good luck hens because the legend is that the hens protected a family hence people have them in the house for good luck.

Our Junk boat circled three times before leaving Joss Hill bay which is a tradition boats do for good luck and Joss paper is tossed into the sea as demonstrated by this other boat.

Lunch was on board the Aqua Luna with delicious dim sums from Hutong.

It was fab having dimsum at sea and they were piping hot and scrumptious as well.

Sadly, it was time to head back but they have other trips to Stanley during the weekend which are tempting.

[吉祥貓] Big cats found on Nathan Road

I don't know who is behind this campaign but I love these huge cats and I wouldn't mind having them on my lawn.
The LV one is really stylish with a gold necklace, sunglasses and beautiful eyes behind the shades.

There is another one further down the road.
