Earl Grey Chocolate mousse cake @ CEO Gateau

This was my first time trying a cake from CEO Gateaux and it was not bad.
In general the food served at CEO is good.
I tried the chocolate and earl grey mousse cake and I really liked it.
The cake was light and there was a perfect balance of cake to mousse and chocolate to earl grey flavouring.

Green tea mania @ Sinmei

The decor of this place is really nice featuring lots of traditional Chinese teaware and prized tea leaves. They even have their own brands. I ordered the matcha snow white which has ice-cream floating on top and the Rose Island.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
matcha snow white I was really impressed with the drink, the sweetness was just right and even after the ice-cream melted it did not make the drink too sweet.
First I drank the green tea and left half of it to mix with the ice-cream to get two different tastes.
The green tea was not too bitter or grassy which was good.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Rose Island
This drink was fun, it comes with Perrier to be added in the drink. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I wanted to try the food as well but I had dinner afterwards so I couldnt, it was so nice of them to let me try their earl grey cup cake and it was delicious, the earl grey was really strong and I loved the icing on top.
It really reminded me of the cupcakes at school.
While I was sitting there I could smell their cooked eggs which made me hungry so next time I shall order their eggs.
Basically there are so many different matcha drinks here to try!!

London Fog Habiccino @ caffè HABITŪ

I was intending to go to Starbucks for their Green Tea frapuccino, however I saw the poster for this and decided to try it because it was also earl grey tea to compare it to Starbucks Hojicha. After getting pissed on the Bailey's cream habiccino last time, I made sure this one was alchohol free.

There are two types of London fog, one is the Earl Grey Tea Latte and the other is the cocktail version made with 1¾ oz. of gin and ½ oz. of Pernod on frappé style crushed ice.
I was surprised to find out that it originates from Vancouver and not UK!

"London Fog is a proprietary name for a tea blended exclusively by Carnelian Rose Tea Co. Starbucks no longer used the name after being informed of the potential trade name conflict." saids Wiki, so I wonder if Habitu will stop using this name later.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ London Fog Habiccino
The drink was yellow cream colour sprinkled with earl grey tea leaves.
When I took a sip, the ice was not finely blended and extremely coarse, it was like drinking crushed ice and milky tea separately because the ice floated to the top and the drink sank to the bottom.
Compared to Starbucks earl grey latte, the tea was weak and it was really milky.
However the earl grey aroma was different to the aroma at Starbucks. At Habitu, they used earl grey syrup and Starbucks have used tea powder.
Overall I felt that Starbucks fared better in terms of tea taste and price but the sweetness at Habitu was lighter and more acceptable.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I hope to try the other FOG variations as well which are:
Manchester Fog- steamed soy milk with a sugar free vanilla syrup in Earl Grey tea,
Seattle Fog- soy misto (½ water, ½ soy, steamed) with 2 pumps of vanilla syrup and one pump of hazelnut syrup, in 2 bags of Earl Grey Tea,
Oregon Mist - same as London Fog, substituting Green tea and amaretto for Earl Grey and vanilla,
Sweet Treat London Fog - tea-less version of a cold London Fog, consists of chilled ginger ale and copious amounts of either lime sherbet or orange sherbet. As the sherbet melts, it gives the drink a foggy appearance,
Dublin Fog - same as London Fog, only substituting Earl Grey with Irish Breakfast Tea
Bangalore Fog - same as London Fog, only substituting Earl Grey with Chai
Atlantic City Fog - same as London Fog, only substituting Earl Gray with Rose Tea
Winter Fog - A London Fog in which the amount of vanilla is reduced and clover honey is added to taste.
Maui Fog - same as London Fog, only substituting coconut for vanilla syrup.
Starbucks Earl Grey Latte is a version of London Fog [in HK it is called Hojicha with tea jelly].
Tokyo Fog - same as London Fog, Matcha-based Green Tea substituted for Earl Grey.
Cape Town Fog - same as London Fog, Earl Gray substituted with Rooibos Tea
Durban Fog - A cross between a Cape Town Fog and a Bangalore Fog, basically the same as a London Fog, but substituting Earl Gray with Rooibos Tea and adding a pinch of tea masala.

Hojicha + Tea Jelly & Red Bean + Green Tea x Frappuccino

As I rarely drink coffee I was excited when these two drinks were launched.
It was Red Bean and Green Tea Frappuccino and the other was Hojicha and Tea Jelly Frappuccino.
I ordered both because I wanted to try both even though I do not like red beans, but I felt that the Red Bean and Green Tea Frappuccino would just taste the same as the usual green tea Frappuccino with red beans added.

Apart from the drinks I found some other interesting snacks such as the edamame beans and lemon aloe jelly yoghurt cup.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Red Bean and Green Tea Frappuccino
The green tea frappuccino was nice and creamy and there was no grassy or bitter taste.
As I left it for a while the slushed ice floated on top so I ended up drinking the milky part at the bottom.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Hojicha and Tea Jelly Frappuccino
Earl grey itself is such an aromatic tea but it is usually served hot so the taste is slighty different when served hot. I feel that when earl grey is used in puddings and cold drinks the flavour comes out more.
The drink was really nice especially because the earl grey was strong and the milk they used was not too milky and powdery.
At the bottom there was some tea jelly which I had last and it was really nice.
However the jelly was really hard to draw with the straw they provided even though the diameter was bigger and it was embarassing because the jelly would make an embarassing noise.
