The complete chinese cafe set @ Man Wah Restaurant

Similar to Australian Dairy Company, this place also serves sets comprising of scrambled eggs and macaroni, however only the eggs and toast taste good at ADC. The macaroni only acts as a filler at ADC.

However the macaroni at Man Wah tastes good, there are several options for macaroni, you can opt for noodles if you do not like macaroni.

This place also serves dim sum and snacks such as fried chicken wings and pickled vegetables.

If a normal sized macaroni doesn’t satisfy your hunger, they also have an extra large portion on a huge bowl.
The main problem is that the tables are too small you can't order too much!

Anyway, I ordered the set and tried the famous macaroni with liver in tomato broth, and the macaroni with liver in ginger broth, with scrambled eggs and toast. I also ordered chicken wings in cumin as well.

The wings came first, the cumin was strong and generous, however the wings were over fried to the extent the chicken was dry and tough.
The scrambled eggs were really good too, although ADC tastes better, the scrambled eggs here are much healthier and don’t contain as much oil and butter as ADC.
The texture of the egg was so light and fluffy. The luncheon ham that came with it was just right and not too salty.
The macaroni was really good, especially when the ones I have tried before were mushy, tasteless and floury.
The soup for the liver and ginger was good, the tomato was Ok, but it was ruined by the ginger in the soup base.

Macaroni and cheese @ Pasta Mio

Wanted to try their lasagne and macaroni and cheese, but only the macaroni was available today.

The macaroni cost $48 per portion.
When you order it the macaroni is reheated and then served.

The macaroni was the ribbed macaroni.
It was nice to have some comfort food but it could have tasted better, the cheese was tasteless but at least it was proper cheese.
The local macaroni and cheese is basically macaroni in cream sauce.

Marshmallow hot dog @ Ireland's potato

I do not usually go to this branch of Ireland's Potato because their frying oil is not changed often and their service is not as efficient as the city branches.

I decided to try the new marshmallow hot dog and the deep fried macaroni and cheese.

The macaroni and cheese was the same as the one served at BEE TWO, however the version at BEE TWO is much nice because their frying oil is changed regularly.
There was still so much oil in it that I had to use tissue to soak it off.
The oil totally ruined the taste
As for the marshmallow hotdog it was as good as expected.
The marshmallow was lovely and gooey, however I did not like the butter on the bun.
At the moment Ms Penguin and Ireland's Potato are doing a joint promotion.
The cutlet items were interesting because they were called GILLET .........
Do they mean Cutlet instead of GILLETTE
