Seafood pot @ Masamura Sushi Restaurant

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Carpaccio sushi salmon and tuna
This was bascially the usual sushi topped with sliced onions, a slice of lemon and some Italian dressing.
Overall they tasted quite pleasant and it was just like carpaccio with rice. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Steamed egg with urchin
This tasted too salty. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Seafood hotpot with crab
There was not enough soup to cover the contents when it came, so asked for more broth so that the contents could be ensured that they got cooked.
The crab did not taste that fresh and it came straight from the Freezer because there was ice particles on it.
The cutlery for the crab had to be requested. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Prawn mania @ bubba gump

As there is no other branch in Hong Kong finally came here to try the notorious Bubba Gump.

Ordered the ‘run across America’ starter, a selection of prawns, and chicken, the quantity of prawn was more than expected.

As for the prawn rigatoni, there was lots of sauce, and the grilled prawns in that dish were naturally sweet.

Also ordered the stuffed shrimp, which was a rice pile in the centre of dish with butter sauce and cheese, the mashed fish was basically cod.

Localised spanish fried rice @ Pizza Hut

Initially I wasnt going to write this review, the menu bored me.

In the end, out of the boring menu, I ordered the spanish fried fried or so called paella.

It was presented nicely with lots of herbs, it was slightly spicy, and I saw bits of dried shrimps and scallions which was obviously XO sauce.

Anyway, the drinks was also good, the apple and berry fizz and the creamy ribena punch, it is named slightly different in English, which dosnt make sense anyway.

The apple fizz in chinese was meant to be champagne.

The apple fizz was nice and light, and the fresh strawberries were sweet.
The creamy ribena punch was also fizzy and nice and creamy.

Savoury and sweet crepes @ La Creperie

The previous review I wrote for this restaurant only did justice for the French, so for this second visit the review is in English.

I was excited when this place opened, because it serves Crepes, a thin crispy pancake with various topping (not be confused with american hotcakes) and savoury ones too.
After their sucessful branch in Shanghai, here it is in Hong Kong!
This type of French cuisine is more down to earth too, just simple pancakes and local items like moule frites rather than the classy French meals with numerous aperitifs and foie gras.

The restaurant was laid out with black wooden tables and chairs and lighthouse salt and pepper shakers.
It was like walking into a restaurant by the seaside.

The wall on one side had the thick grey bricks just like medieval Normande which is scenic medieval buldings and lush green grass.

As it just opened, there were not much people then on this visit, the staff there were nice and considerate, I was asked if the music was too loud and it was turned down.
Gradually the restaurant filled up with people, and the atititude of the waitors was still amazing, they even asked us if we minded people to sit by us, and also at the end, they thanked us for the tips too.
Never in a million years would honks to that!
It was also good that the waitors were French people, so were the customers.

Anyway back to the food.

Ordered two galettes, and two sweet crepes.

La plage: lemon cream, mint and Meringe.
creamy lemon sauce that tasted like lemon curd. I thought the Meringue would come as crushed pieces but it come as a small little meringue.

Apple and cinammon: la krompouz
This was really nice, thick caramel with cinammon and stewed apples.

La bosco: mixed seafood, parsley, white wine, cream
It was quite creamy, and there was a hint of spicyness in it, which I didnt expect for French food, but with the buckwheat pancake, it tasted nice.

les pierres noire: french camembert, cheese, smoked ham , mixed mushrooms, salads
This was my favourite, very cheesey. also nice gooey cheese wrapped inside, and the mushrooms were diced so finely.

To finish off the meal, tried the sweet cider. I never really order alchohol, but this one claimed to be very sweet and fruity.
When it came, it was served in two big bowls, the colour of the cider was bright golden brown orange. The taste was truly fruity, and at 2.5% I could not taste any alcohol which I can for other 2.5% alcohols.
Although I couldnt taste the alchohol, I could feel the effects of alchohol kicking it.
