Beef Beef Beef and more Beef @ GyuJin

For beef lovers there are lots of choices for beef and veggie lovers the vegetables are self service at the bar which great.
But time is pressed because you can only dine there for a certain period and the orders come fairly slow.

Beef:
The beef was fairly fresh and not fatty.
There was a lot of choices for vegetables so that was good and the broth was quite nice and it was lovely and clear before we started!
The sauces available were quite good which enhanced the meat and vegetables.

Satay triple delights @ Kwun Tong's 康和車仔麵茶餐廳

Was a bit peckish so ordered the triple satay delights.
It had fishballs, squid and ox tripe.
It was good the satay sauce was put on the top and not mixed into it.

The satay sauce is darker than the satay sauces in other noodle joints.

The squid was blanched just right and not too chewy and the satay sauce was fairly strong especially the peanut.

Next time I will try their noodles.

Toast with fish filet @ Wing Lok Yuen Restaurant


 
After my previous visit for the hotdogs I saw the toasts with fish cutlet so I had to try that as well.
However the review for it was not good because it said the fish filet was thin which was what attracted me to get it.

Anyway on my last review I forgot to take pictures of their receipt system that they give you after you have paid.

Toasted fish sandwich:
Although the fish was thin, I liked it thin because the proportion of toast, fish and breadcrumb coating was even.
The fish filet was tender and juicy and it tasted nice with the sauce that they used for the hotdogs.

Toast chicken sandwich:
The chicken sandwich did not taste as good as the fish because it was just grilled chicken and it was slightly tough and dry.

Crabilicious crab products @ Kanizen

I have always wanted to check this place out but there is no menu at the front of the restaurant and you cannot see what is inside which makes it even mysterious!

Hence explains why there are so many celebrities dining there.

When I attempted to dine there it was hard getting a table because it was always fully booked even on a Monday!

Finally got a table but the place where I sat did not have those cute tiny crabs but it wasnt a bad seat because there was a celebrity sitting opposite.

When you enter the restaurant there is tank of crabs and you have to enter another door into the restaurant.

The crab roe paste was lovely and thick and its unami taste was strong.

Tempura:

The tempura platter contained a tempura egg yolk which was my favourite, it was still molten inside and the exterior of the egg yolk was light and crispy.
As well as the yolk there was a crab claw, but the crab taste was not that strong.
The crab perilla leaf dumpling was better though it had tasty crabmeat inside.

To finish off there was ginger ice cream and the sweetness was just right, it had pieces of ginger in it and the texture of the icecream was nice and smooth.
