Mini buns and cute pink bag @ Maxim's Bakery

Wasnt really intending to get anything from Maxims, but saw this cute pink bag with buns packed inside so got it.

The one without the bag costs $10, which only had 4 mini buns, so I suppose the one I got including the bag was cheaper for $18 with 8 buns inside.

There were four flavours:
1 x cheese
3 x cream cheese
2 x chocolate
2 x peanut butter

The cheese one was the only savoury one in the packet, the rest were sweet.
They tasted how it should, however I was surprised with the peanut butter, never imagined a bun to have peanut butter paste inside, although peanut butter is a spread.

Lovely fruit tea @ share tea

There are so many Taiwanese drink shops available, its so hard to choose, luckily this was a good choice.

I chose the fruit tea, which contained orange juice, passionfruit, apple, and jasmine.

The fruit tea here is different to the other fruit teas from Taiwanese joints, the taste heavily on juice with Jasmine essence.

It was like drinking watered orange juiced without the sourness, with a strong hint of jasmine essense, then after tones of passionfruit. You can actually see the orange pulp in it too.

I really liked it, and hope that there will be a HK branch soon, it seems healthy too as there is real juice in it.
The cup used for the drink was a sturdy plastic cup with a cute handle to hold it.

Orange and butter cookies @ Crabtree & Evelyn The Tearoom

Nice elegant packaging that contains orange butter cookies inside the rolled cardboard tin.

Each cookie is thin in thickness, however its texture is like a cross between a shortbread and a cookie, less of a crunch.

The cookie contains alot of orange peel in it, and has a jaffa taste rather than citrus flavouring which complements the buttery flavour.

On the aftertaste, there was a slight mintyness to it.

Other cookie flavours include all butter hazelnut, chocolate, lemon, breakfast, oat and cranberry, strawberry and cream, white chocolate and raspberry, shortbread.
Although not all the flavours may be available in HK.

Flattering McWings platter @ McDonalds

Tried the chicken wing platter a la carte for $24.4.

It contains six chicken wings: Original McWings, BBQ Wings, and the new Honey and Lemon wings. ( 2 pieces of each flavour)

The Original McWings are just the normal fried chicken wings on the McDs menu and the BBQ wings have been recently been introduced before along with Grilled salt and pepper wings.

Previous review on BBQ wings:

I previously mentioned that they didnt have Lemon flavouring, now they have it finally.

The taste of the honey lemon wings was quite nice, the honey was not sticky and not too sweet, and the lemon was not the refreshing lemon flavour but slightly bitter, like lemon zest.

Apart from that, the packaging for the chicken platter was good, the wings were well separated, so the flavours did not get mixed up.
The fried wings were in the middle compartment, and the darker ones were BBQ and the other one was Lemon and Honey.

Bakery breakthrough with fresh new packaging @ Tai Pan

Bakery is boring these days, the products have been the same for years, cakes, buns and pastries.

Finally, something interesting was marketed from Taipan, the chocolate cake packaged like a chocolate bar, same with the hokkaido milk cake.

It takes the cakes to a whole new level.
Next time, I will try the caramel roll too.

The chocolate cake basically tastes like the normal chocolate chiffon cake.
I would have preferred if the cakes were cut into cubes making it easier to eat and share.

Currently they sell at $16 per pack, but if you pay by octopus, they only cost $14.
