Kiki noodles by celebrity star ShuQi

As well as a restaurant foodie, I am addicted to cup noodles and instant noodles.
Came across these noodles by Taiwanese celebrity star ShuQi which are noodles tossed in sauce.
There are two flavours: Sichuan noodles or Scallion noodles.

Tried both and they were fantastic because you get quality noodles that are served in restaurants and not unhealthy typical instant noodles.

They are too easy to cook, boil until the desired softness and toss the noodles with the sauce provided and they are ready to eat.

Personally I preferred the scallion but the Sichuan one is quite spicy yet fragrant.
It is good how the chili seasoning is in a separate sachet.

[Garden Cafe] Exciting summer beef feast buffet

Buffets here has always been good but the last time I came was a few years ago.
I can't believe how much I have missed.
Currently it is the "summer beef feast buffet" where you get to try three different beefs as they will serve them in the buffet one after the other.

As well as beef, there was a good seafood, sashimi, sushi, noodle station, cheese selection, hams and more.

On a healthy note, I liked the salad bar because they had Hydroponically grown vegetables and there was refreshing fruit detox water which is so much better than plain water.

The drinks selection was good too with teas and coffees, fruit punches and free flow of cocktails!!

The different beefs that night:

Australian Wagyu beef:

New Zealand roast beef:

Korean thinly sliced beef with kimchi:
The buffet is definitely worth the money because I was amazed at the rate they were serving the Chef's specials.
When you've just finished the first special dish,  the staff are already ringing the bells that there is a new surprise where you queue to get it.
The seafood tower was one of them and at the bottom there was delicious congee!~

Robatayaki grill:

I had to leave room for dessert because there were so much choices as well including the famous Movenpick icecreams, durian cheesecake, marble cheesecake and my favourite freshly made pancakes with a brilliant choice of fillings including cherries!!!

What made dessert special was the Saturn peach because I have never tried it before and it was so sweet bursting with juices!

Finished off the lovely buffet with my favourite Jasmine tea from the drinks selection.

Definitely will return and look forward to their creative creations as always :)

[OMQ Diningroom] Old Master Q comic themed restaurant

According to wiki Old Master Q is a popular Hong Kong comic portrayed in cartoon form in newspapers and magazines as far back as 1962 which was later serialised in 1964.

OMQ Dining room is basically decorated with Old Master Q so it makes a great tourist attraction for people to experience.

Foodwise, they serve the typical cha chaan teng stuff like Swiss wings, baked pork chops etc, fancy desserts and drinks.

I had the fancy sweet potato drink with black diamonds which was actually grass jelly. A surprisingly good drink because it was not too sweet or artificial and I liked the sweet cream on top.

The food was so so especially the lasagne which was too sweet.

Overall a great place for gatherings because it is quite spacious with baby chairs.

The seats are big enough for large people!
Not funny but funny because the character looks decapitated!

[The Place] Summer in Hawaii

In Hong Kong, buffets are just buffets with oysters and lobsters because this is a basic requirement that Hong Kongers want to have.
At The Place, Cordis, they are doing a Hawaiian themed buffet for summer which is really worth trying because there are only one or two places in HK for Hawaiian food.

From appetizers to desserts, you will find something exciting.

Lomi lomi salmon, tako poke, seared ahi nori roll:

Lau lau roasted pork:

Desserts:
Rainbow shave ice:

Macadamia souffle:

Almond rice pudding:

Pina colada cake:

Pineapple mousse cake:
They also have craft beers from Hawaii at a special price of HK$50 per bottle.
My sweet tooth totally kicked in because of all those exotic desserts.
The macadamia souffle was divine because the creamy nuts really give it texture and flavour while the shave ice was the best thing to have on a hot day.
Shave ice is not to be confused with Shaved ice because that is how they call it in Hawaii.
