Lunch buffet @ Blue Smoke Bar-B-Que

As always the food is good but it depends what they have that day.

Seafood soup
The seafood soup was the best because the squid tasted really strong, and there were lots of baby squids in it.

Hot dog:
The hot dog had chili con carne topped on it and there was melted cheese.
The spicyness of the chili con carne was just right.

Macaroni:
The macaroni was served cold and there was finely chopped carrots in it.

Water with orange slices:
This was the first time I have seen orange slices in water, usually it is lemon or other fruits.
The water tasted quite nice with a twinge of orange.

Crispy pork chop and macaroni @ Cafe De Coral

Ordered two sets, roast pork with rice, and pork chop bun with macaroni.

The roast pork rice was piping hot, the sauce was more like sticky gel, but as I was hungry, it all tasted good.
The pork chop in the bun was rather small, but the bun itself was good, crusty chewy bun.
The macaroni was disappointing though, very bland, and tasted like aeroplane food.

Scrambled egg's for Islanders @ 華星冰室 Capital Café

So glad there is joint here serving scrambled eggs just like Australian Dairy company in Jordan.
I am sure there must be other places that do scrambled eggs just like that, however due to location and publicity, people may not know about them.

The joint here is mainly black and white in decoration, and maybe most of the furnishing and tiles are new, it felt so surreal, almost like a set from a film studio.
The uniform worn by the staff was white and new, the whole experence sitting there was everything was sharply contrasted.

Anyway back to the food, the menu is slightly clearer than ADC, they even have Halal beef too.
The staff were not pushy for us to order the food quickly, and gave us plenty of time to decide on what drinks to order.
One of the staff was extremely helpful, shifting the plates and collecting the plates to make space etc.

I was quite surprised the macaroni cooled down quite quickly, I assumed after I ate my scrambled eggs, it would still be hot.
The scrambled eggs had that consistent delicate texture, slightly gel form, it was not salty and complemented well with the ham.
The toast was thick cut and nicely buttered with salted butter.
As for the macaroni, it is just a filler like my friend said, when I was introduced to ADC.

Chinese macaroni in soup @ Wah Hong Restaurant

Very similar to the Tsui Wah restaurant, food and interior, but this place is nicer, it even has a private room walled by glass, so you can get some peace and quiet without being out of sight from the waiters.

Got the instant noodles, macaroni, and beancurd sheets in soup.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Macaroni:The macaroni was slightly too mushy and floury.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Beancurd sheets in soup:The beancurd sheets were nice and soft, however they tasted weird.
It was so strong of soy beans, it actually tasted like Vitasoy milk.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Instant noodles:
The noodles actually absorbed the broth so it has flavour which was surprising.

Fung Shing confusion at the cross boundary @ 鳳城新鴻苑

I 'd love to know if 鳳城小食 and 鳳城新鴻苑 were owned by the same owner, the shops are a few door away from each other and the names both have Fung Shing to begin with.

The reviews from the two restaurants appear to be mixed up, some that belong in the other one are in this one and some that belong in the other one appear in this one.

Anyway 鳳城小食 serves mainly snacks such as instant noodles, pork chops, and hot dogs, while 鳳城新鴻苑 serves Fung Shing dumplings and noodles.

I ordered the signature Fung Shing dumplings and fish skin dumplings.

The Fung Shing dumplings were nice, they seem to be a prawnier version of wonton with less meat and more prawns and some black fungus.
The shape is slightly longer not like the round wontons.

The fish skin wrapped dumplings were slightly too oily, but if they were deep fried, it would be delicious.

Instead of noodles they offer macaroni which is cool, I've never had macaroni with the traditional wontons!!

Fried macaroni and cheese @ Bee Two

I have always wanted to try the MAC and CHEESE, which is fried macaroni and cheese shaped in a ball and coated in batter.

Then I found out Bee Two French Baguette & Coffee had a similar thing, but in triangular nugget form!

The fried snacks were drizzled with mustard, the colour just like the shop!

Thankfully the sauce was not sweet which would’ve spoilt it, but next time I shall ask for it without.

The cheese and macaroni didn’t disappoint me and I loved the melted cheddar cheese inside.
At first it is daunting to go in because the owner looks huge and scary, but he is actually friendly.

Next time I will have to try the baguettes and mini hotdog, but it is quite cramped inside, and there are no eat-out areas in Prince Edward.

Healthy choice turned out to be bad choice @ Yeh Lam Kwok

This time I decided to get their macaroni in broth to be on the light side, but the broth and the macaroni was so salty it hurts your throat when you swallow it.

Apart from that, the ingredients in the macaroni seemed healthy, a mix of yellow courgettes, peas and tomato.

The macaroni was al-dente, but just the soup was too salty.
