Home Made Pink Beetroot pasta

Le Bonbon de Paris (Sai Kung)
Went into Sai Kung deliberately to try the Beetroot pasta.

As always, this place is always full of people even at 8pm (which is late by Sai Kung standards!!!)

Since my last visit, there are now so many new items on the menu.

They had my favourite gnocchi.

At the front, there are so many new desserts, they had croissants, chocolate and dark chocolate cakes filled with soft chocolate.

I ended up choosing the peas with pasta, there are three home made pastas to choose from: tomato, spinach or beetroot.

peas with beetroot pasta:

The normal version has chicken, but I did not feel like having meat that day.
The pasta was really nice and the sauce was lovely and creamy balanced by the strong herbs and sweet fresh peas on top.
There was some garlic salt on the table too which enhanced the taste even more.

Thanks to Le Bonbon de Paris for sponsoring me the delicious pasta.
Merci Beaucoup!

Esarn Sausage from Thai Hut

Thai Hut (Wan Chai)
Previously I tried the Esarn sausages which were really nice sausages because they contained vinegar, glass noodles and pieces of meat

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Esarn sausages:

It did not taste as nice as before because there were lots of fatty pork in it and pieces of pork head which I did not like.
It had a strong taste and was quite appetizing because of the vinegar.

Bright orange squids from 潮豐粉麵茶餐廳

潮豐粉麵茶餐廳 (Ngau Tau Kwok)
Came here for some Chiu Chow style food.

Heres one of the dishes we had.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Squid combo:

I only ate the squid which had a nice springy texture.
It was not too salty or oily because some places are much oilier.
There was not much sauce because most of it was absorbed by the squid and it had a very bright orange colour.

Food at bistro bistro Cafe & Lounge

bistro bistro Cafe & Lounge (Yau Tong)

Came here for a gathering, a nice place but noisy.

I only tried the chips because the rest of the items were Chinese style Western items such as pastas and steaks.
The chips were good because you can't go wrong with them if they are fried just right.
In this case, I loved their chips, golden yellow, crispy on the outside and soft inside.

The chips came with ketchup but salt and vinegar with chips is just as good.

Chinese food at Wing Kwong

Wing Kwong Food Centre (Hung Hom)
Came here randomly because there were not many customers.

There were sets for $40 which I felt were a bit over priced.

Chicken steak and frankfurter in tomato sauce :

It was the usual frozen chicken steaks and frankfurters thrown in a pan and fried with tomato sauce plonked on top.
The chicken steak was surprisingly juicy but tasteless, but the tomato sauce was quite nice because it tastes like cream of tomato soup.

Chinese dishes at a Hotpot place

Fuk Yuen Hotpot Seafood Restaurant (Mong Kok)
Chinese food again!
Not really my favourite so I was not going to review this place but I might as well.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Beef and apple:

A weird combination of apples and beef.
The beef was tender but quite salty.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Sea cucumber and brocoli:

The sea cucumber was nicely flavoured with oyster sauce but not soft enough.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Steamed frogs legs:

The frogs legs were the best because it was delicate, but this dish was quite oily.
