London in the Sky - High Flying dining

London in the Sky is basically where you dine with a view!
Holstered on a crane you enjoy your meal in the skies!

Pizza at Franco Manca

Franco Manca is all over the place just like Nandos and GDK.
When ever I see chain restaurants that are everywhere, they are always on my bottom list to try because I'd rather try something that is unusual or different.
I think Franco Manca is successful because of its price, the most basic pizza without cheese is 5.55 while the basic one with cheese is 7.25.
To be honest, the basic one without cheese would have done nicely but as a first visit I felt it had to be with cheese to look the part.
To summarize, it was a nice pizza and the crust which I am not fond of was surprisingly good because it was crispy and bready with a good yeasty taste and smell to it.
I would probably return for the basic pizza without the cheese because I am not fond of tasteless stringy mozzarella.

Goddards of Greenwich (Pie Mash)

A popular haunt for pie mash in Greenwich!
Definitely worth visiting because they don't close as early as other pie mash shops.
As a foodie, I have been trying to tick off every pie mash and liquor shop, a dying breed in London.
Finally visited Goddards of Greenwich which is slightly different.
They serve traditional pie,  mash and liquor as well as many glorious choices of pie with mash and gravy as well as traditional English dessert pies.
Goddard's are in a lucky position located in a tourist spot.
They have long tables to accomodate big groups upstairs which sit at least 16 people.
Finally tried it one day and their traditional pie was not bad.
Even though there is popular favourite shop amongst pml lovers, with the chili vinegar, salt and white pepper it takes it to the next level and almosts make up for it.
The lamb rosemary pie was also impressive as you get pieces of tender lamb and not mince.
Service could be a little friendlier but being in a lucky spot, who cares.
Not even the new trendy shops in the area like bubble teas and K-dogs can affect them.

Gingerbread Latte Vegan Cookie from Costa coffee

Went to Costa Coffee for the afternoon and spotted the new vegan gingerbread latte cookie so ordered it with tea..
Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with this cookie because it just tasted like granulated demerara sugar with a ginger aftertaste and it was overly sweet.
As for the drinks, tea was just tea.

Iro Sushi boxes

Was gifted some sushi from a friend which came from Iro Sushi.
Overall, they were not bad and fresh.
According to their site, there are so many branches across London.

Rainbow Swiss Rolls and Star Studded Tarts at 1966 Baking Alliance

As a fan of Maria's Bakery, I am so glad to see them take their bakery to the next level with Baking Alliance at the newly refurbished Central Market.
All eyes are on the rainbow Swiss roll HKD55 which is made with lemon, matcha, blueberry, chocolate and strawberry for that colourful presentation.

The tarts are fashionable and modern to the eye as well as decadent.

For donut lovers, it will be a hard choice deciding which MAD (Muffin as Donuts) to get.

Last but not least are satisfying warm sandwiches for those looking for a filling lunch.
