Tasty Haggis Bridie at The Scottish Kitchen

Spotted this Scottish Kitchen stall when I was at the train station which had so much to offer from Empire biscuits, Lorne sausage rolls to Haggis Rolls.
I don't often come accross a Bridie so I went for the Haggis Bridie which turned out really delicoius filled with haggis.
It was basically like eating a pastie filled with haggis.

They also have the Eccelefechan Tart which is a mixture of sugar, dried fruit, and butter inside of a sweet shortcrust pastry tart.

The best marriage of English and Carribean meats at BRISKET

Newly opened in the heart of Surrey Street Market is this meat eatery called BRISKET with this which has a lovely elegant logo!
Found out that there was a soft opening so I went to check it out!
I was impressed when I walked in with glass cabinets of all the different meats followed by the salad and then you can get freshly squeezed orange juice as well.
What I liked about the menu is roast meat which has always been part of Sunday roast and here you can have Sunday roast with roast pork belly as well as Carribean style like Jerk chicken.
It was a difficult choice as they had meat boxes with salad or bloomer sandwiches which so many choices.
As it was a hot day I had the meat box and it was superb of them to do me mixed meats so I could try a bit of everything.
The meat box comes with sweet potato mash garnished with crispy onions and gherkins.
Although the restaurant is not fully decorated yet as it is their soft opening, the dining area is really spacious with lots of pic nic style tables so I had my meal there.
Just to summarize, all the meats were fresh and tasty, the jerk chicken thigh was definitely winner with the lovely spices. The pork was also tasty with apple sauce.
Last but not least, the salad at the bottom complemented it really well and it was proper salad and a good hearty coleslaw.
The salad that day was feta and leaves so it was not just any lame salad.
To summarize, they have you all covered with Sunday Roast, sandwiches, boxes and whatever you could possibly want.
I love the way, tea is served because Tea is a must and look forward to the dessert menu as well.

Caramilk Creations Café

Cadburys Caramilk a popular chocolate was finally brought to the UK last year and which proved a success as it sold out really fast.
At the Caramilk Creations Café, you can try famous Aussie Caramilk recipes like the caramilk shake, caramilk & raspberry cookie, caramilk rocky road and the Caramilk bar itself.
As it was a hot day, I tried the milkshake which was really creamy and decadent.
Sadly it was difficult trying the bar itself because it was such a hot day that it was melted and squidgy but on the positive side, I used it as caramilk icing!

Crispy Tindle burger at Brewdog

TiNDLE is a Singapore based chicken alternative which can be found internationally in the US, Germany, Netherlands, London as well as Hong Kong.
The meat alternative is made of texturized soy protein and wheat gluten.
I tried their chicken alternative at a popup in SOHO where I got this really nice bucket hat.
Recently I reached out to Tindle because I lost my beloved Tindle hat and they got back to me saying that I could try their burger as well at a partner restaurant so I was really chuffed to get to visit Brewdog which is on my list after trying the Hong Kong branch.
The London branch is so much bigger and offers a much more complex food menu as well as plant based options with many alternative brands which they see fit to serve.
In the burger section, there are two options for Tindle burgers.
I opted for the Carolina which is layered with heirloom tomato slices in a colourful beetroot burger bun sprinkled with poppy seeds and chia seeds.
If you try TiNDLE on its own, it is almost like chicken but the texture is like fibres and a bit mushy similar to the Seitan meat alternatives offered in Hong Kong where the texture is stringy and soft.
However, it tastes really good served in a burger with sauces.
For those in the UK, you can visit Brewdog and those in Hong Kong can get it from NOSH.

Tea and Cakes at V&A Museum Cafe

To be honest, I prefer cakes and treats from independent bakeries but I visited the V&A Museum cafe because a friend wanted to go.
The food at the Museum cafe is helmed by Benugo which you will find at quite a few places.
Overall, I was quite impressed with their cakes which were not too sweet and tasty as well as being affordable.

Hakka Noodles at Apna Adda Indian Street Food

Apna Adda is a hole in a wall eatery in the hustle and bustle of Leicester Square.
It is easily missed as it is literally a small shop.
Prices for Indian food are affordable and the menu serves a good range of starters, biyanis and curries.
I felt that I had to try the Hakka noodles as they had them there and I didn't fancy having them in an expensive place.
Sadly, they were disappointment as they noodles were not even hot and very salty.
The chewy chicken pieces were the worst and taste like left over chicken that were salted to disguise that.
