Crumbly delicious cookies from Conte de Cookie

Conte de cookie (Wan Chai)

Spotted this shop when I was crossing the road.

The cookies I tried were:
Sea Salt & Butter
-this was my favourite because it was crumbly and melts in your mouth with a gentle buttery taste and a slight salty aftertaste.
Signature Chocolate
-The chocolate tasted stronger but it also had that delicious melt in the mouth texture.

Later that night during dinner, we got a surprise from 蒙奇奇 who was so sweet and got us these expensive cookies from this place.
I thanked her for these expensive cookies and she said our friendship was more expensive

The orange almond was really nice and I loved the bits of oranges and nutty almonds in it.

Mrs Fields New Strawberry cheesecake cookie

Walked past and saw these newly launched strawberry cookies.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Strawberry cheesecake cookie:

It had the standard soft and chewy texture.
There were pieces of dried strawberries and white chocolate in it.
The taste was rather disappointing because there was no cheesecake taste and it was just sugary.

Swissbeck's hand made cookies

Swissbeck (Central)

Thank's to Garycwm for these cookies.

Inside the bag were assorted cookies in various of shapes each with different ingredients on top which were icing, chocolate, nuts and cranberries.
These cookies were very buttery and crumbly which were balanced nicely by the different ingredients.
My favourite was the chocolate because it was not too sweet and added a nice chocolate flavour to the cookie.

Disgusting Chinese pandan cookies

Pak See Kut Cake Shop (Wan Chai)
The small branch of Pak See Kut a few doors away has closed and they have moved to a bigger store a few doors away.

This time I got the pandan cookies which were displayed at the front of the store in a glass cabinet.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Pandan cookies:

The texture was nice and crumbly but the rancidness of the cookies spolt it.
The cookies were a bit too sweet.

Fascinating cake shop

Door Door (Mei Foo)
After dining nearby, Ivy said there was a shop selling nougats which I found interesting because Mei Foo is a residential area.

As well as Mei Foo, they used to have a branch in Kwun Tong.

When we got there, I was instantly impressed by the variety in there.

There were green tea scones!

Huge donuts on skewers for only $7.5

Pandan cakes!

Charcoal buns:

The nougats were most impressive.

They even had a huge cookie selection!

Infront of the shop, there were so many people queuing for freshly baked egg tarts and portugese tarts. I was surprised at how fast they were sold and the quantities people were buying.

For the coming moon festival, they have these novelty biscuits which are hygienically packed too.
(I remember seeing ones before which were unwrapped and held in a pink plastic baskets).

Thanks to Mjqueen7e for getting me one.

I ended up getting a cheese Pontikege because it looked like a baked meringue.

The cheese pontikege tasted really floury when I took a bite, and it was slightly sweet with a faint taste of cheese.

Maxim's walnut cookies

Thanks to Gary for getting me these Walnut cookies.
Although I have called them walnut cookies, the Chinese seems to say walnut puffs.

The packaging of this is quite modern and looks like a bag of crisps.
Each cookie has a nice texture with buttery taste and crunchy pieces of walnut in it.

Black sesame butter cookies @ 太子餅店

太子餅店 (Sheung Wan)
Thanks to Mjqueen7e for getting me these black sesame cookies from Prince Bakery.

This shop also sells huge macarons at low prices and pretty cakes.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
I was once tempted to buy the Angel Chiffon series shown below.
I liked the way the pastel coloured cream was sandwiched in between two pure white pieces of sponge but they needed refrigeration if you don't eat them imediately which was why I did not buy them.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Black sesame butter cookies:

These cookies were delicious and melts in your mouth.
Each piece had black sesame in it giving a nice crunch and black sesame taste.

Cookies from Café 8 Degrees

Café 8 Degrees (To Kwa Wan)
Thanks to a friend for these delicious cookies.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Chocolate and almond cookies:
As you can see, it was loaded with lots of almond in it.
Each bite was delicious with a good crunch of almond combined with a strong cocao taste.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Palmiers:
Compared to other palmiers, the size of these were much smaller which was good because you can pop them in your mouth without breaking them.
They were crisp and buttery with a delicate flakey texture.

Cheesess' new makeover and new cookies

Cheesess (Tsim Sha Tsui)

Previously if you have been here before, you were greeted with a black mysterious fridge, there were no cakes at sight.

Hence the reason I have not tried their cakes yet.

The brand new look showcases their products with a lovely new counter with a glass cabinet.

I was now able to see products that I could not see before such as the sauces, Cheesess teacups and coloured syrups that people can buy to decorate their cakes.

As well as their famous cheesess teacup with forks and spoons that resemble mini gardening tools, they now have cookies on sale too.

I was given some cookies to try and each one was labelled and individually sealed.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Cranberry Raisin oatmeal Cookies:
This cookie was my favourite because I loved the chewyness from the raisins and cranberries and the tartness of cranberries were the best.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Walnut Raisin Cookies:

Although it saids Pecan on the labelling, I think it is meant to be Walnut as it tastes like walnut.
This one had a buttery nutty taste.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Earl grey cookies:

When it was taken out the packet, you could instantly smell the earl grey.
The taste was fresh.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Coco oatmeal cookies:

The oatmeal cookies were drizzled with chocolate and there was a nice cocoa taste to the cookies along with fragrant oatmeal.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Oatmeal cookies:

Compared to the chocolate oatmeal, this one was not so exciting and it was slightly too sweet.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Butter soft cookies:

The butter soft cookies were another one of my favourites!
Imagine it melting in your mouth as soon as you eat it, well it did just that!
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Almond cookies:

They have used whole almonds so there is strong almond flavour and a nice crunch.
The texture of this cookie was quite hard.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
After trying these cookies, I plan to get the kyoto raspberry and London earl grey cheesecake later.
While I was there I sampled the lychee cheesecake which was lovely and light, it was also ice cold so the texture was interesting just like a sorbet.
Thanks to Lemon Tea and Cheesess for inviting me to the try their new cookies.
