The vanishing Christmas Tree from Honey Creme

Walked past and saw the new softserve so decided to get it because it was colourful.

First they brush the edges of the cup with green syrup which is probably mint.

Then they pour chocolate and cocoa on the softserve.

After that they put candyfloss on top.

More syrup on top followed by crushed candy canes.

This was my favourite out of all the ones I have tried because the chocolate sauce and the softserve go really well together and the overall taste is not too sweet.
The candyfloss got in the way at the beginning so I only had a bit and disposed of it.

Blesscuit Toffee cookies

Thanks to mungkk for getting me these toffee cookies made with French seasalt and chocolate bits.
They were crumbly and buttery with delicious bits of chocolate that melted when you ate them.

Golden E-Ticket to Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe

After experiencing the lovely food forest at the Mandarin Oriental, I received a golden ticket from Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe so I was really chuffed.
If you have been watching Heston's shows, you would know how exciting it is to get a golden ticket.

When I arrived I was greeted with champagne and chocolates.

The dark chocolate mint pyramid tasted amazing and the apple truffle was delicious.
As well as chocolates I tried many other sweets that were behind the counter including black death which is the sourest sweet you could ever try, but it has a sweet ending to it.

There were Christmas carols that night.

Sushi time at 爭鮮外帶壽司

I was still hungry so got some ready to eat sushi from this place.
The tuna was tasty and fresh and the yuzu and scallop were really nice because the yuzu seasoning is really refreshing with a hint of pepper to it.

Trinidadian Black Rum and Fruit cake dessert at Mandy's Private Kitchen

Found out on their FB that they have this new dessert so went in to try it.
As well as dessert I am tempted by their Christmas and Boxing day menu because it only costs $3xx per person which is a really good deal compared to those foul tasting places charging $6XX per person just because it is Christmas.

There is Turkey on the menu and a very special turkey because it is Jerk Turkey served with roast potatoes!!!!

Anyway, the dessert I had was the Trinidadian Black Rum and Fruit cake dessert which is served with hot berry sauce and ice cream.
The fruit in it is fermented for 3 months in rum and sherry.

You can buy the cakes or you can dine there.

There are several sizes for takeaway which are nicely wrapped up:
2lb $250, 1lb $150, and 1/2lb $80.

Hot sorrel punch with lime:

It was my first time having it hot and the taste was different because it was more refreshing and the lime taste was stronger.

Trinidadian Black Rum and Fruit cake:
Normally it is served with icecream but I requested for cream because I didn't want the sweetness of the icecream to overpower anything.

Before trying the cake, I tried the hot berry sauce which I thought was hot in temperature but it was hot as in spicy hot.
It was not too fiery but it gave a nice kick to the cake while the cream toned it down.

The cake itself was firm and moist with a strong rum taste and you've just got to dine there because the cream and hot berry sauce are the best compliments.

Baileys and softserve at Honey Creme

Came here for a quick dessert after dinner.
They had new softserve flavours, this time they had softserve with Baileys and the Baileys expresso tiramisu.

Tried the Baileys which had a shot of Baileys poured on top garnished with almond slices.

It was really nice because the strong alcoholic taste of the Baileys was toned down by the softserve and the almonds gave it a nutty savoury taste.

The best lobster brunch at Opera House Italian

This was my second visit because I enjoyed the food so much!!
I am going to go again very soon but it will have to be next year sob sob!!

On this visit, they had lasagne and chocolate cake which was not there before.

Lasagne:

Chocolate cake:

Here was what I had:
Started with this springy delicious lobster.

Tried the lobster benedict which had thick and delicious runny yolk in the middle.

Then I had some pasta which was al-dente in tangy tomato sauce:

The steak here was really good too, it was juicy and sweet.

The lobster broth was rich:

Next I had my favourite creamy burrata which had runny cheese in the middle.

To finish off I had the pistachio gelato which was amazing with natrual pistachio taste.

The lobster panna cotta was interesting and different because the lobster was sweet.

Coming back again very very soon!!
At the back, there is a kids room where they can play!!

Green tea thickshake from Yo Yo SHAKE

Last time tried the taro thickshake so this time went for the Green tea.
I really liked it because the vanilla taste was strong but the green tea flavour was still there.

Again I requested it to be less sweet and it was exactly how I wanted it to be.

Will be back soon.

Hoji tea cookies from Kaorisabo

Thanks to Ivy for these lovely Japanese style cookies.
They came in a lovely gift bag.

There are three flavours: Matcha, Hoji tea and black bean.

Tried the hoji-tea flavour which had a strong roasted smell and taste with pieces of tea leaves in it.
The bitterness of the tea flavour in the cookie was balanced nicely by the butteryness of the cookies.

Noodles again at Min Max 1950

Went here ages ago and had some noodles.

The style is still the same, you have to order the noodles electronically and pay by octopus.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Egg noodles with luncheon meat:

The broth was not strong hence the noodles were tasteless and the luncheon ham was weird and different to the ones I have had before because it had lots of dark red bits and looked scarily unappetizing.
