Cherry mania @ Selected a good time to visit this place, didnt have to queue up.

Selected a good time to visit this place, didnt have to queue up.

I liked the way the desserts were served, they came in separate dishes on the plate.

Ordered the pancakes with ice-cream and cherries, coconut jelly with cherries, and fried hazelnut with cheese.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Pancakes with ice-cream and cherries: basically it was layered pancakes with cream in between it, the pancakes tasted how it should, the cherries may have been soaked with alcohol, as there was a slight taste of it.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Young Coconut jelly with cherries: the coconut milk was slightly sickly and sweet, i would of liked the dessert plainly with the coconut jelly and cherries. Maybe I will request without the coconut milk next time. Also the the name on the menu saids white peach, I couldnt taste much of it, but it tastes good like that without the white peach.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Fried cheese with hazelnuts: I really liked the neatly wrapped pocket with Mascarpone and hazelnut, the oil used was still fresh, and the pastry was slightly crunchy and chewy, and when you pierce a hole in the pastry, the air will come out and the pocket deflates!! The pastry was a bit like thick fried filo pastry.
At first i couldnt taste the hazelnut, but then i could tastes bits of it, also they were fresh hazenuts pieces, i could taste the membrane lining of the hazelnut.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I also wanted to try the blueberry coconut jelly offered to VIP's, hmm how do i become a VIP???tongue
Anyway next time I want to try the coconut sorbet which i was told wasnt sour, but arnt sorbets meant to be sour?? I also want to try the baked chocolate with cherry filling, and the baked filo with banana and chestnut!!

The revolution continues, until my next visit!! This world is also a small place, coincidently a patron that sat on the table next to me was on the same MTR as me on the journey to Mong Kok.

Improvements: a little pest control needed, so many insects flying about and dead insects on the seat.

Fried curry rice ball @ 近又吉列黑豚專賣店 Kinmata Tonkatsu

Came here just to try their fried snacks, ordered the curry burrato, fried curry rice ball, which is similar to the italian version, except the italian version is not that crunchy on the outside.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Deep fried curry rice ball:
The curry rice ball was quite nice, and the cheese in the centre went well with the curry rice.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
fried Edamame beans and potato croquette

Vegetarian Sushi @ 自家素食

Apart from dine in, they also have the usual vegetarian snacks to take-out, and even sushi too.

I found one of the staff to be particularly pushy, I had only looked at the sushi, and she already started packing it in a box for me.

I was going to get some anyway, but I didnt like the way she tried to sell it all to me, as there was only a few pieces left, I have tried vegetarian sushi before at Lai Chi Kok (not listed on Openrice yet, but that restaurant is quite good, especially their lunch).

I got the minced tuna, and tuna sushi.
Both looked like the real thing, the tuna sushi does actually tastes like the real thing, slightly opaque, and not too chewy.
The minced tuna was a bit bland.

*No photos, as the woman was too pushy!!* perhaps if I took a photo of that woman would be more helpful

Chicken Curry @ Ebeneezer's Kebabs & Pizzeria

There are so many curries to choose from, usually I will eat the vegetarian ones which are usually ordered by native Indians who are vegetarians.

The vegetarian ones are good but I need to add soy sauce to it, especially the spinach and peas, although the presentation of mashed spinach isnt that pleasing it does taste good.

I had curry chicken today, and it always tastes consistently good, especially the long grain soft rice.
There is lots of chicken in it too.

Thai pork knuckles @ Ra cha moo yang

I assumed Thai food was only things like chicken rice, meat and rice, pad thai's stir fried flat noodles etc, but I was surprised to see they had pork knuckle rice, it is very similar to the chinese lo shui sauce.

The pork knuckles even had tofu puffs in it!!

The pork knuckles was stewed nicely, an option for those who cant eat food that is too spicy and not thai food fans.

All their lunches come with a drink for $30.

PinkCan" pumpkin soup @ outback steakhouse

They usually have a wide range of daily choices, alot of the choices were salads, and their usual burgers and riblets.

I have had burgers and riblets so many times, so opted for the house made meat sauce with spaghetti.

To improve their turnover speed, the salad and bread was placed at our table before we ordered. Then the soup arrived, my friend asked the waitor what soup it was, he replied "PinkCan" so the rest of us were trying to guess what it was.

It was orange in colour, so we guessed he tried to tell us it was pumpkin, anyway it was funny!

The pasta was a bit bland, not enough sauce, and salt was needed to make it tastier!

Roast duck @ 大慶燒味飯店

As usual they all taste the same, the duck breast was slightly dry, the roast pork was nice and juicy.
Lots of spring onion sauce was given too.

Some places will not bother to give you vegetables, but this place gave plenty of cabbage.

The price was reasonable including a drink.
