18 Grams' cookies

18 Grams (Tsim Sha Tsui)

Thanks to Mjqueen7e for getting me these delicious cookies.

These cookies are made by 18 Grams which I have always wanted to try but never got round to going because the cafe is small so I wasnt sure if there would be a table if I went and the MK branch is too far away.

They are assorted cookies with the following flavours: Green tea and almond, chocolate an nuts, black sesame and almond.
My favourite was the chocolate because it had walnuts in it too, while the green tea one was light.
These cookies reminded me of the cookies at Arome bakery because of the colour and size.

Cookies with Sakura flowers

When I saw these cookies, the first thing that sprung to mind was the film Para Para Sakura with Sakura flowers falling from the tree.

Anyway, these cookies come packaged in a lovely box with a ribbon on top.

There are three cookies inside that are individually wrapped.

The wrapper is slightly opaque and you can see the sakura flower on the cookie.

The cookie was pretty pink with a pretty pressed sakura flower on the surface of the cookie.

The taste of the cookie was buttery and not too sweet, but I could not really taste the Sakura flower.

Seriously delicious Chinese cookies

Nga Yuen Cake Shop (North Point)

Thanks to Mjqueen7e for these extremely delicious cookies.

I have never tried these Chinese cookies before even though I have bought some for Ivycwk at a different shop.

I am not sure if all the shops taste as good as these or this one was exceptionally good.

They are freshly baked everyday according to Mjqueen7e.

The texture of these cookies are really crumbly, and collapses into fine crumbs in your mouth and the taste was amazing because it tasted like a combination of McVities digestives and McVities Rich Tea biscuits.

The drop of chocolate in the middle made it even more delicious without being too sweet and that part tasted like chocolate covered digestives without the wheat bits.

They seem to be able to keep for days because I had a bag of crumbs left which I ate a few days later and they still tasted fresh.

Usually I never eat biscuit crumbs but these cookies were delicious and crumbled easily so I saved the crumbs.

I wish the size of these biscuits could be slightly smaller to fit in ones small mouth.

A lovely jar of almond and wheat cookies

Taipan Bread & Cakes (Central)

Thank you Mjqueen7e for getting me these cookies.

The packaging is really nice and the plastic jar can be reused.

It reminded me of countryside honey/jam jars with a chequered cloth on top with an elastic band holding it in place.
After you remove that, there is a resealable lid and beneath that, there is a ring pull lid.

:
The coconut taste was quite strong and there were lots of crushed almonds in it giving it crunch.
They tasted like HOBNOBs a brand of biscuits I had in the UK but the texture was crumblier and had a nice buttery taste.

Delicious Japanese premium cookies

Thanks to Mjqueen7e for getting me these delicious cookies.

I am a fan of Arome bakery room and their products are nicely packaged and taste good.

The box was really nice with a handle on the top.

There are five flavours inside: cashew, charcoal and coconut, green tea, Okinawa brown sugar, and dark rye with walnut.

Each cookie is individually packaged.

The texture of each cookie was delicate and crumbles in your mouth.
My favourite flavours were the green tea, Okinawa brown sugar and the charcoal with coconut.
The charcoal with coconut had big chunks of coconut which gave it more mouth feel and the Okinawa sugar flavour had strong sugar flavour without being too sweet.

Matcha YoYo

Sinmei's Matcha Yo-Yo Mar 27, 2013
Sinmei Tea (Sheung Wan)
Thank you IVYCWK for getting me this delicious Matcha Yoyo from Sinmei Tea House.

Matcha Yo-Yo:
A Yo-Yo is an Australian biscuit a bit like a cookie and a shortbread with filling in the middle.
The filling inside this Yo-Yo tasted like fresh green tea icing which crumbled nicely between the buttery tasting layers of the Yo-Yo.
Each Yo-Yo is decorated with dried green tea leaves on the top.
The green tea taste in the filling could be stronger because it was quite sweet.

A wonderful cookie assortment @ Cookie Galerie

曲奇薈 (上環)
Cookie Galerie

Thanks to 糖小妹 for these cute cookies.

She gave me the Tea box selection which has the following inside:
Rose, Lavender, green tea, coffee, chocolate, oat and fig.

As well as the Tea box selection, Cookie Galerie also do a Nut selection, Chocolate selection and Chinese selection with Momordica fruit cookies.
They even do Palmier's with flossy pork and Sweet osmanthus.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Tea box selection:

The cookies were really cute and colourful with different shapes.
The sweetness was just right and oat and fig was the best because it was nice and sweet.
The green tea was nice and the green tea flavouring was not too grassy and visually I liked the colour.

The cookies were presented in a lovely box with a ribbon handle, that could also be tied into a pretty bow. Inside the box, each cookie was individually packaged. Once the wrapper was open you could smell strong earl grey and the taste of the earl grey in the cookies were really strong. The sweetness was just right and there were lots of earl grey tea leaves in the cookie. The butter in the cookies was just right and not too strong.

Sweet and cute cookie world @ Fresh Fresh

Recently bought their pandan cake from their pop up stall at Diamond Hill and got addicted to it.

Found out from OpenRice that there is a shop at Mong Kok when I wrote the review so came here hoping to get the Pandan cake, however they only had the cookies and the dessert that day.
The cookie selection here was good, they had so many fun shapes and colours.
The flavours ranged from Seaweed to milk tea and of course my favourite pandan.

The cookies are sold by weight and you can specify how many of each flavour you want.

Pandan cookies:
I did not want to try the other flavours so I just got the Pandan flavour which is a butter based cookie.
The cookies were extremely crumbly and the balance of the butter and the flavouring was just right.
