2011 Saint Honore winter series Part one: Tomato and herbs puff pastry

Saw this poster for the winter series special, which features the puff pastry.
In Chinese the direct translation, is Herbs and tomato meat sauce puff.
I wonder if they meant puff pasty with Bolognaise sauce inside.

Apart from the puff, they had chocolate donuts and potato and chicken herb bun.
To be honest all three are tempting, but since the puff pastry was not sold out, I bought that one.
In their bakery range, I found another bun that was similar to the chicken and herb, it was a long shaped bun, but its description was chicken potato and cream bun.
The bolognaise puff was interesting, because puff pastry and bolognaise are a western thing and they have combined them both together.
That’s assuming it really does taste like Bolognaise!
The common Western puff pastry flavours are usually Cheese and onion, cheese and mushroom, Tuna… and the chinese style ones are curry, BBQ….

Anyway, I should have heated it up and it would have tasted nicer.

The filling was dark red and it contained meat and green peppers, overall it was similar to bolognaise. The tomato sauce and herbs could have been stronger.
It is definitely worth trying but needs heating up.
