Desserts @ Sushi Express

Usually I get sushi from here, but this time saw some desserts so got the blueberry cheesecake and Japanese taro pudding.

The taro pudding was a layer of taro sandwiched between two layers of black jelly.
I did not know what it was so enquired about it, one of the staff there answered me it was Taro which was pretty obvious and it said that on the box, but luckily the other assistant heard and told me the black stuff was Herbal grass jelly.

Taro pudding:
It just looked like taro paste in between some liquorice jelly, the black jelly had a cooling minty sensation and according to the staff it was made from Grass Jelly.
The taro paste in the middle was starchy.
Overall it was quite nice, but extremely sweet.

Blueberry cheesecake:
The cheesecake was soft and there was blueberry sauce on top.
It did not taste like the typical Japanese cheesecake, it was neither memorable or delicious.
