The first Xia Mian Guan was opened at Elements shopping mall, but compared to the rest of the restaurants in Elements, Xia Mian Guan is relatively cheaper, hence a popular pick.
The food at the Elements branch is reasonable, and expected for a location like that, however the TKO branch proved to be much worse.
The TKO branch opened around June, which had already been in business for one month so I would have thought all their operations were running smoothly.
Anyway it is now July, and we arrived at 11.40am, and the doors were half open, while I had nothing to do but wait, I decided to take a photograph.
That moment, only the front door was open, and the menu stands were inside the restaurant as photographed.
Sat down, and ordered two noodles, one with fish and snow vegetables and the other was pork liver in brown sauce.
Both took a while to be served after placing the order, and there were a few conflicts going on between the staff and the manager, the manager was said to be stubborn by one of their staffs.
Regardless of their issues, I felt that their staff were not fully awake to their duties, the food was cold, and there was some green thread on the bowl.
The menu range was incomplete, not the full range as served at Elements.
