A new ramen joint now in Sai Kung

With ramen joints opening everywhere in Hong Kong, there is now one in Sai Kung as well as others in the New Territories such as Yuen Long and Tai Po.

This place is called Tenjin which is place in Fukuoka City, Japan, but as I have not been to Japan I wouldnt know if the food was Tenjin style or not.
After checking the menu, they basically serve ramens and grilled skewers.

For the basic ramen it costs $42, so for that price I had no expectations because it is about one third cheaper than the ramen joints in the city.

There is a spicy version which costs $44.

Basically the basic ramen does not include any meat and it is just ramen and broth with optional garlic and spring onions.
As I do not like the Japanese BBQ pork, the basic ramen was fine for me, but other people might not be so pleased with the basic ramen because you have to pay extra for the BBQ pork.
They had other options such as gyozas. grilled chicken, prawn cutlet etc.

For the grilled skewers section I was attracted by the chicken liver so I ordered that too.

On the table there were three pots of condiments: garlic, chili and sesame seeds.
The chopsticks that they gave you were disposable bamboo chopsticks.

Ramen in pork bone soup:
The broth was nice and strong and the garlic oil and spring onions enhanced it.
The ramen was the squiggly type and the texture was similar to instant noodles but more al dente and thicker so I quite liked it.

Grilled chicken livers:
The texture of the livers were rather starchy. They were gently seasoned so you could still taste the liver.
